HEEERE WEEEE GOOOO AGAINNNN!!!!! One of my favorite families of all time: The Kim family! This team truly holds a special place in my world, they have from the moment I met them when I shot their engagement photos 12 years ago. TWELLLLVE YEEEEEARS AGO…. WHAAAAAT??!!? I know I’m always super dramatic about how long I’ve been photographing certain families but I keep forgetting that I’m nearly 40 and I’ve been doing this since I was 24. I mean, do the math Bob!

A quick recap: their family of three, their family of four, their family of four again, and thennnnn this session; their family of five!

Meet Anna! She’s perfect!

“Daniel: Kinetic, Inquisitive, Sweet, Goofy, Resolute” –Mom & Dad

It’s a tradition: squishy face! I took a squishy face photo of Thomas at our very first family session. Then, I took another when Daniel became a part of the family. For the third session, I insisted that it was now a tradition and we must do it again.  So of course we it must happen for THIS session! Welllll…. I should say that we definitely gave it our best effort but sweet Anna looked like she was about to burst with all of the love squeezes! Click here to see my not-so-perfect attempt. “Anna: Beautiful, Uplifting, Compassionate, Gregarious, Jubilant” –Mom & Dad

“Peter:  Strong, Sentimental, Genuine, Crazy Smart, Principled” –Robin

“How you turned a crabby toddler, 2 boys who kept asking when we were going to be done, and a few mosquitos into these makes me wonder where you hid your magic wand, Bobbi.” –Peter

“I was seriously nervous after our session…Anna wasn’t her happy self, and the boys were asking if we were done yet countless times…but you pulled it off. Again. I shouldn’t be surprised.” –Robin

You two are the best, the very very very best! Anytime you need photos from now until eternity, I will clear my schedule to make it happen, mark my words!

“Robin:  The absolute 1) sweetest, 2) most thoughtful, 3) most servant-hearted, 4) most beautiful, and 5) best mother to his children a man could ever have. Was that more than 5?” –Peter

We were nearing the end and Anna was nearing meltdown so Peter suggested that Robin do this. IT WORKED!

Then I thought, “how cool would it be for Robin to have a memory of her perspective of the mom airplane!” So I quickly got on the ground and click click click!

I’ve been insanely excited to share this wedding with the world!

This was one of my favorite moments of the whole day. The bridesmaids and I had gotten ourselves set up for the “robe photo” before Megan had made it onto the deck; when she walks out she sees her bridesmaids and is genuinely flabbergasted at how beautiful everyone looked. She turned to look at me as though to say, “aren’t they beautiful?!” and that’s the precise moment that I took this photo.

Here’s another funny moment: one of her sisters was putting Megan’s necklace on her when she lost grip and it fell down her dress. Megan’s mom then went into auto-pilot and quickly reached for it.

As we were all leaving to head to the church, and as the bridesmaids were hustling to gather all the things I called Megan over for a quick two minute bridal session. As chaotic as the scene surrounding us was, you certainly can’t tell by how relaxed she is here.

The priest jokingly says something along the lines of (I am definitely paraphrasing), “I know that Sean is a perfectionist and runs a tight ship, so I have to ask are things running on time?”

Sean jokingly responds with a smile while rotating his fingers in a way to imply that the priest needs to keep things moving.  Everyone, to include the priest, laughed a big laugh.

Alright you two, I was standing as close as I could be without being a part of the wedding party and I (along with Megan) have been dying to know what you all were laughing at. Soooo… we would love to know what happened right after you “kissed the bride.” I was guessing that the priest had asked you to hurry along as a way to get you back on asking him to hurry up his sermon?

MARRIED!!!! The recessional is always one of my favorite parts of any wedding.

Then we headed to the IMA for some portraits.

I always love seeing Megan’s view of this.

Megan’s sisters’ toasts were perfect; I definitely teared up.

Sean is holding up a magazine with “GLORIOUS” on the cover while dancing and celebrating to “Gloria.” It was clearly a sports celebration but what they were celebrating I don’t know. I’m sure someone out there knows, care to loop me in?

What a fun day you had! We were truly honored to have been a part of it.

You guys know I’m a dog crazy woman, especially dogs that look like this! I mean, Max is pretty much a mini version of my Ruth. So when Casey and Neal came out of their apartment with this little man I about flipped. JUST LOOOOOOK AT HIMMMMM??!!?!

Between Casey’s gorgeous red hair and Neal’s magnetic brown eyes, I was in photographer heaven!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS?! No, no, not kidding.
