I’ve been so excited to share this wedding with you! This was the first time that I photographed the wedding of someone I also shot senior photos for. WHOA?! Talk about making me feel old!

…and by old I really mean experienced. And by experienced I mean you should hire me for your wedding. And by hire me for your wedding I mean, I can’t wait to meet you soon!

Also, I’m really proud of this image. 🙂

I initially met Sarah when I was coaching the color guard at Terre Haute North High School right after college. She was a sophomore (I think) who played the clarinet in the marching band and I was 22 and working as a graphic designer at a local marketing firm. While working for that agency I began shooting senior photos for the marching band to build up my portfolio… and boy did I build my portfolio! My fellow color guard coach asked me to shoot her wedding. Next thing you know I have a website and a photography business that’s blowing up. Allllll of that to say, thank you Terre Haute North HS Marching Band for investing in me… without you, I’m not sure I’d be where I am today. True story!

Sarah, I’m not sure you’ve aged a day since 2004. 🙂 Seriously.

I sat in the pew for this one so I could get a view of the bride and groom through the eyes of the guests.

The way they looked at each other for the entire ceremony… all the heart eyes!

PORTRAIT TIME! There was a cute little park across the street from the barn. We hopped out for like 15 minutes and made some magic happen.

Soooo…. I no longer live in Indianapolis. If you follow my Insta-story you already knew that… but for the 5% of the world that don’t (sarcasm) I thought it miiiiight be a good idea to keep my lovely blog readers in the loop.

I’m now a resident of Louisville, Kentucky. 

WHAAAAAAT??!!? WHYYYYYY?!?!! WHENNNNNN!!!?!!? BUT MEGMONEY??!?!!!? WHYYYY ARE YOU ABANDONING USSSSS?!?!!

Ok… so maaaaybe your reaction wasn’t nearly that over-the-top… but let’s pretend for a moment that I’m important enough that you just spit out your drink after reading my big news.

To answer all of your suuuuuper dramatic questions:

WHAAAAAAT??!!?

Yes yes yes, I’ve moved two hours south from the middle of Indiana to the land of Northern Kentucky… AKA, Louisville. AKA, Looavul. AKA, Luhvul. AKA, Looeyville. AKA, the land of amazing restaurants. AKA, the home of the Kentucky Derby. AKA, the place I now call home.

WHYYYYYY?!?!!

I fell in love with a man named Stephen who has lived in Louisville his whole life. Not to mention that I also fell in love with his three beautiful children Andrew, Josh and Claire. Annnnnd I am engaged to be married to that lovely man (date and details to be determined). 😀

WHENNNNNN!!!?!!?

I moved here about two months ago. It took four U-Haul trucks and two trailers over the course of 6 weeks but we finally made it.

BUT MEGMONEY??!?!!!?

Psh. Of COURSE MegMoney is still my right hand woman! Megan and I will continue to shoot all weddings and engagement sessions together… so you need not worry about that! She still works for me but now we work remotely from each other.  I’m so thankful that technology will keep us working together from different states.

WHYYYY ARE YOU ABANDONING USSSSS?!?!!

Oh sheeeeesh! I’m not abandoning you drama queens! If you check out my contact page on this site you’ll see that it now says, “based in Indianapolis and Louisville. Available worldwide.”  I will continue to treat Indianapolis as though I’m a local photographer; as in, no travel fee. In other words: Indianapolis friends, please don’t remove me from your referral lists! I love me some Indianapolis! Also, Louisville friends I would love to be considered for your referral lists.  Here’s my elevator pitch: In the last 13 years of shooting I have photographed nearly 400 weddings all over the midwest and the world. Relaxed, happy portraits are my jam. Oh, and I REALLY love this town!

Sooooo there you have it! Thank you friends, as always, for your love and loyalty. Without you all, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Please don’t give up on us… we really have only just begun.

HELLOOOO BLOG READERRRRRS!!! LOOOOOK WHOOOOOO’S BAAAAAAACK!!!!! I have so much to share with you all! (I’m not pregnant, so shut it down!). But first I have a few blog posts to share. First up, Anna and Ben. AKA, Ben and Anna. AKA, Benanna. AKA, Banana.

The second I met them I was smitten! I mean, can’t you just tell they’re a most perfect-for-eachother couple?!

Every time I shoot in this part of Indianapolis, I ALWAYS sneak in a photo of that Bob Dylan poster in the window. You know… shout out to dad.

I mentioned in passing that I was once fascinated with Britney Spears. As we were shooting I look over at Anna and she’s created her own Britney Spears-esque photo. I about died laughing! Call 911; Bobbi is dying of laughter. R.I.P. Bobbi.* Yeah, like that.

*I’m alive, no need to call 911.

Can someone please help me with their doppelgängers? I used to be really good at this game but I just don’t watch enough TV any more. WOMP!

ARE YOU KIDDDDDINNNNNG ME WITH THOSE AWARD-WINNING SMILES?!?!!

Oh you know… Ben just puttin’ out the vibe in a field lookin’ like a lumberjack… the norm.

I often bring a cooler of beer to my sessions. Benanna took me up on the offer. I then decided that they should be in the photos because well… BEER!
