I’m super proud and beyond excited to finally announce THE BOBBI SHOP!

BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

Our first products are album (CS4 and CS5) InDesign templates πŸ˜€

I could tell you about them… but I just found a blog entry that Kaila Harkins, one of our fabulous beta testers, wrote. Here’s an excerpt:

Bobbi has not only created amazing and beautiful Indesign templates to cut your work time down (it cut mine from 6-8 hours to only about an hour! whoa!) , but she has also created an incredibly helpful tutorial that walks you through Indesign and album design so that when you design albums you are as quick and efficient as possible! My goal all along has been to get more of my life back rather than spending so much time after a session or wedding in post processing and/or designing. I love sessions and weddings, but the hours spent afterward can really drag on and become difficult to manage. I believe that anything that will give me more of my life back, make life easier, and create something beautiful is truly worth it’s weight in gold. These templates are absolutely that! So if you are a photographer and/or album designer head on over to her website and check it out!

OH Kaila… I flipping adore you! Thank you, thank you, thank YOU!

If you have InDesign but don’t know how to use it… no worries! There’s a free trial pack with a fully interactive InDesign Tutorial that will teach you everything you need to know in about an hour. Imagine learning everything you needed to know about Photoshop in an hour. Yeah… that’s kind of a big deal! πŸ˜€

For those still using Photoshop to design albums… I made a little video just for you πŸ™‚

A bit about The Bobbi Shop’s art direction:

The Bobbi Shop wouldn’t have been near what it is today without my favorite art director, graphic designer, best friend and personal cheerleader by my side the entire time. Β Ryan Hunley with Second Street Creative had full control of the entire project.Β If you know me, relinquishing control isn’t something I do easily!Β Many of you know that I used to be a graphic designer and designed the bobbi+mike logo. I take great pride in my branding. I’m also a crazy control freak. But, I also know my limits…. I wasn’t capable of doing it all on my own and needed help. Β There is NO ONE ELSE who I would have asked, and not just because he’s a friend, but because there’s no one else who I would have trusted. In my experience, the biggest aspect of a self employed persons success is that they care. I’ve been around his business for a while now and can tell you as an outsider looking in, any project he takes on… he wants it to be a ten. Bottom line… Ryan cares.

Now, back to regularly scheduled blogging! πŸ˜€

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
