When I showed up to Tasha and Mark’s house to photograph new baby Soren, I was blown away by the images that hung on their walls. You see, this was the sixth time I’ve photographed them (and the first time I’d been to their house)…. and not one photo hanging wasn’t taken by one of us. I teared up a bit when I saw it. 1. engagement. 2. family session 3. wedding 4. maternity 5. Elijah newborn 6. Soren newborn (below). 🙂
When I first started shooting, Elijah wasn’t into it (can you tell 😉 ) I can’t blame him… I’m not a fan of getting my photo taken either…
Mike to the rescue! They hung out in Elijah’s room while he got more comfortable with the process. I’m telling you… that Mike is like the damn kid whisperer!
Meanwhile, I followed Tasha into baby Soren’s room.

Mark had to leave a bit after the session started so we hurried up and got some images with him. 🙂 I love these two!

Beautiful session as always! I have to ask, is baby Soren a little girl? I assumed a boy until I saw middle name was Mary and looked more closely to see pink on the onesie. I ask because my 4 year old boy is named Soren. I just love the name, but have never heard of it for a girl. So great!

confession, I’m just now catching up on your work over the past, what, 3 months? I’m a little behind, I apologize! You guys always blow me away. 🙂 However, I noticed the photo of Mark holding baby Soren looks very similar to Mark holding Elijah in Elijah’s newborn session. That photo was probably my favorite newborn image of ALL TIME…and now this one comes in as a VERY close second! I love that you both are able to capture a glimpse into each (client) family’s lives that you photograph. It means a lot to your clients…trust me 🙂
