What they saidHow they met, as told by Susan
Met at Aquinas College one night in the lobby when Brian and his roommate, who was dating my roommate, gave me a “sandwich” hug. Then Brian picked me and twirled me like a helicopter prop on his shoulders. We then introduced ourselves and talked until 2 am. We were “just friends” for a year before he kissed me the night Johnny Carson went off the air.
from Ada, Michigan
Going out for donuts, riding motorcycles or ATVs on trails, boating on Lake Huron in the Whaler, fishing, a relaxing homemade dinner (not fish!), sitting around a campfire on the beach watching the sun set with a Dark & Stormy (or a Miller High Life).

what a sweet family, i especially love the first and second photos. 🙂
Lovely photos. Garrett’s parents are both wearing glasses, and he isn’t. I certainly hope they’ve had his eyes checked. Speaking from experience here. Bobbi, you are a wonderful photographer. You’ve probably never heard that before.
What a strange comment. Would you have said it directly to the parents if you have seen them together on the street? No? Well, that’s how you should behave in the internet-world.
Beautiful pictures – and I love the splash of brightness from the orange jacket! Great idea! *love*
Never fear, neither parent had to wear glasses until high school. But consider many people choose to wear contacts and you can’t even tell they have sight issues…personally, I like the personality they allow.
I am so sorry. It was a strange comment and I don’t know why I felt compelled to make it. I’m an optician, but not normally a rude one. My apologies. Your family is beautiful, and clearly loving and kind.
🙂 You were not rude (there are no rude people over here at Bobbie&Mike!), you were just concerned.
SO good! I cannot pick a favorite, there’s too many I love. You captured them perfectly, Bobbi!
These portraits are both strong and sweet. You can tell Garrett will do amazing things, with the love and support his parents give. A truly beautiful family.
Love, love, LOVE your family sessions! PLEASE come to Northern Cal? Pretty Please?
What a sweet session!! The way he looks at his parents is so beautiful. I love how you captured their relationship!
