The night before their wedding David, along with his college ska band, played at their old hangout. And it was awesome! You may be asking yourself… “Why oh why is he wearing a clock?!” The answer… Their first “date” (you know, college style first date!) was to a costume party where David dressed as Flava Flav. 🙂 Shannon stood in the front row and sang EVERY word to EVERY song. 😀 Mike’s favorite ❓The next morning…

OHHHH the contrast between what men do before a wedding……and what women do 🙂
Shannon, you’re a stunner 😀Ten years after David showed up to a party wearing a clock around his neck… BOOOOOOOM! YOU’RE MARRIED!!!!!!They met in marching band at the University of Florida where they marched many half times on THIS field. David, as you would assume based on the first image on this post, played the Trombone. Can you guess what Shannon played? $10 iTunes gift card to the first right guess. My favorite ❗

UPDATE:: We have a winner… Tori guessed right! 🙂 The right answer? Tuba! 😀 YEAH! Her ittttty bitty frame carried a TUBA! 😀 High fives Shannon… (Scroll to the very bottom of this post to see a photo of her with the tuba section in 2001) RECEPTION TIME!Nothing like a little “Party in the U.S.A” 😉

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
shannon: I really loved taking pictures on Florida Field.  We met in marching band and spent a lot of time there together over the years so it was really special to take that time together.
david: Our first dance.  Our friend Josh from the band Unsung Zeros played it live for us which was amazing.  Shannon and I (and a good number of our guests) sang every word.

Any advice for future bride/grooms?
shannon: Just enjoy and let it all go.  It’s too much fun to spend time worrying and nobody really cares if you cut the cake before dinner.

Funniest memory from your wedding day?
shannon: My favorite funny was really from the show David’s band played the night before the wedding.  His flava-flav outfit including giant clock (which was a re-imagined version what he was wearing at one of the first parties we ever went to together ten years ago) was hilarious.
david: Peoples reactions to the nacho cheese fountain and 40’s [beer bottles] at cocktail hour.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
shannon & david: We want to go back and be guests … and maybe more 40’s.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
San Francisco Sonoma and Napa … too much food too much wine too much fun!
