Last, but certainly not least… Final Texas session#8 of 8! 😀
If Mike and I ever decide to have a family… if we turn out half as amazing as the families that we photographed in Texas, I’d consider myself a lucky girl.
Remember this duo?!
Like a mechanic’s car that is always broken… or a window washer with dirty windows… Photographers rarely get their photo taken 🙂 ((guilty)). You see, like many other photographers that we photo’d in Texas… this was their first ever family session. Rebecca-Linh and her husband Mike knew it was time to make it happen 🙂 They asked us. We said yes. The rest… is… history 🙂
JEEEEEEZE LOUISE… I need some rest! I’m talking crazy talk!!!! Shushing now and getting to the photos 😀 My view (and my favorite! :!:).
Mike’s view. Yes yes yes, your eyes are not deceiving you. That’s a kitchen table… in a field! Rebecca-Linh had but one request… to incorporate that table! You see, Michael is a fancy chef… AKA, the executive chef at Maggiano’s in Houston. AKA… YUMTOWN, USA! So, needless to say… they spend a lot of time around their kitchen table. It made perfecto sense to me 🙂 I adore these girls’ little outfits 🙂 Nice work Rebecca-Linh!
Aja, the little lady with the dark hair on the left… is sweet as can be… and also a bit shy. Getting her to come out of her shell and show us that amazing smile might just be my favorite accomplishment of that week 🙂 How sweet is this family?!
If that photo on the left isn’t making you smile… please… never visit this blog again! 😉 Okay, that’s kind of harsh… but really… how much are they they going to love that photo in twenty years?! A WHOLE DANG LOT! That’s how much! 😀

I need to work on my “taking action photos of Mike” skills. Seriously… what is this a photo of?!
Yay! Such a beautiful family!
Wonderful family and photographs!!!!
Gorgeous, the family and the photos! And yay for coming back to Texas! 🙂
Beautiful family session!!
Mike has good taste.
Ryan, not sure which Mike you’re referring to… regardless, double confirmation 🙂
Love it when something like a table is important- the possibilities are endless! That last shot has got to be my favorite, the light is amazing!
Gah! Mike’s favorite is perfection. Gorgeous. And yes, as the mother of two girls myself, that image of the girls hugging would bring me smiles for the next 20 years.
I think you guys are amazing. My best friend lost her husband last week, and all I can think is I wish I would have done a shoot that was free and beautiful, with so much connection and love. I was very afraid to do family shoots, because of how many people would be involved, but I know now it’s so much bigger than that. It’s about them being together in there moments. You and Mike are such inspirations. Thank you so much.
Haha good clarification Bobbi, I was talking about Mike’s favorite image. Really beautiful composition.
Sign me up for your next TX trip!! Love you guys!
Absolutely amazing!! The ones on the table are probably my favorite. Awesomesauce.

ps : just got your xmas card.. already on my wall, never to be taken down again, like the cards from previous years :))
So happy to hear you’re coming back to TX! I’ll on the lookout for mailing list info. Your pictures are awesome and awe inspiring. I love your blog. My husband and I have decided to reward ourselves with a bb+mk photo session once we reach our weight loss goals 🙂 Even if we have to travel to Indiana (although maybe TX will work out) 🙂
Are you ever going to be in Washington state? Seattle area? Or maybe Phoenix? I live in Washington now but have family in Phx. I love your photos and think you would be a perfect fit for our style. I’m having a hard time getting my husband to take family photos because he wants something that will represent us, not stage us to do something that isn’t natural for us. He’s crazy. Ha! Anyways, I want you to come out west and when you do let me know. I love you two and your style. Your blog just makes me happy!
Can we book you guys 10-15 years in advance? We don’t have kids yet, but when they’re jade and aja’s ages, you’ll definitely be photographing them. Fo sho.
Oh My – I can’t believe I missed Bobbi + Mike being in TX. I so badly want to be on the list for next time. Holy schmoly – dreams do come true.
[…] been looking forward to sharing the rodger’s FIRST family photo! my favorite photographers bobbi+mike from indianapolis made a trip to houston and we FINALLY have professional photos as a family. […]
