Last, but certainly not least… Final Texas session#8 of 8! 😀
If Mike and I ever decide to have a family… if we turn out half as amazing as the families that we photographed in Texas, I’d consider myself a lucky girl.

Like a mechanic’s car that is always broken… or a window washer with dirty windows… Photographers rarely get their photo taken 🙂 ((guilty)). You see, like many other photographers that we photo’d in Texas… this was their first ever family session. Rebecca-Linh and her husband Mike knew it was time to make it happen 🙂 They asked us. We said yes. The rest… is… history 🙂
JEEEEEEZE LOUISE… I need some rest! I’m talking crazy talk!!!! Shushing now and getting to the photos 😀 My view (and my favorite! :!:).
Mike’s view. Yes yes yes, your eyes are not deceiving you. That’s a kitchen table… in a field! Rebecca-Linh had but one request… to incorporate that table! You see, Michael is a fancy chef… AKA, the executive chef at Maggiano’s in Houston. AKA… YUMTOWN, USA! So, needless to say… they spend a lot of time around their kitchen table. It made perfecto sense to me 🙂

Aja, the little lady with the dark hair on the left… is sweet as can be… and also a bit shy. Getting her to come out of her shell and show us that amazing smile might just be my favorite accomplishment of that week 🙂

Love it when something like a table is important- the possibilities are endless! That last shot has got to be my favorite, the light is amazing!
Gah! Mike’s favorite is perfection. Gorgeous. And yes, as the mother of two girls myself, that image of the girls hugging would bring me smiles for the next 20 years.
I think you guys are amazing. My best friend lost her husband last week, and all I can think is I wish I would have done a shoot that was free and beautiful, with so much connection and love. I was very afraid to do family shoots, because of how many people would be involved, but I know now it’s so much bigger than that. It’s about them being together in there moments. You and Mike are such inspirations. Thank you so much.

Are you ever going to be in Washington state? Seattle area? Or maybe Phoenix? I live in Washington now but have family in Phx. I love your photos and think you would be a perfect fit for our style. I’m having a hard time getting my husband to take family photos because he wants something that will represent us, not stage us to do something that isn’t natural for us. He’s crazy. Ha! Anyways, I want you to come out west and when you do let me know. I love you two and your style. Your blog just makes me happy!
