Elias had originally planned on golfing with his groomsmen that morning… but it ended up being MUCH colder than originally anticipated… off to the race track they went 😀

INDIANAPOLIS Kari and Elias are so amazingly perfect for each other. These two have more in common than any other couple I’ve ever known. Kari and Elias both moved to D.C. to work in politics, love to read, are interested in current affairs, foreign and domestic relations… I could go on and on… see, told you they were a perfectly matched couple 😀

This was Mikey and I’s first experience at a full Jewish ceremony/reception… WOWWWWWEEEEE!!!!! WE HAD FUN!!!!!! They signed a Ketubah (the wedding contract), started the ceremony with ta badeken, got married under a chuppah, stomped on glass, blessed over the challah (braided bread). My favorite part was the Hora… circle dancing, the crazy clarinetter (not a word, I know), and throwing the bride and groom up and down on chairs. It was such a great party! I believe that celebration is called the Hora. ☺ Kari and Elias, along with their guests, danced ALL night long. Oh… and maybe we did some dancing too ☺ Hey… there’s no shame! WORK IT OUT!

Kari, on the morning of the wedding was SO incredibly excited… she couldn’t sit still… back and forth and back and forth and back and forth… she was so cute! ☺

As if shooting our first Jewish wedding wasn’t awesome enough… this was the first ceremony to happen at this synagogue! How lucky were we to get to be the first wedding photographers there?! I’m ready to go back! Sid, think you can make that happen? 😀

As a COMPLETE sidenote… When we met with Kari for the first time… we also met with her mom and dad. I remember the VERY first thing her mom said to me was, “HEY! You guys have to go check out that ‘horse dog’ outside.”

“Horse dog,” I thought… “I better go see what this is all about!”

Because Kari hadn’t seen this creature yet, she made Kari and I go check it out together. Kari was a bit embarrassed that she had to go out to look at this supposed horse dog… but off we went. That horse dog was so dang cool! I’ve since seen the dog around town and every time I see it I think of the Dunn family 🙂 Okay, that was a little off topic… but it’s something that I will never forget. My moment with Kari and the horse dog 🙂 ANYWAY!!!!!…

You two are an amazing couple… and we feel so honored that we were able to share such an important day with you. Thanks for everything. 🙂

Love love love!
