OUR FLORIDA WEDDING IS HEEEEERE!!!!! 😀
You may be thinking to yourself…. “sellllfffff…. why did Julie have two pairs of shoes?!?” PS. are you KIDDING me with these?!
OHHHHH… THAT’S WHY!!!! Julie was a two-dress bride! I love when brides have a reception dress… nice to switch things up and not have that heavy/long dress to mess with all night while dancing it up! Oh, side note… in my OH SO humble opinion… her ceremony dress was THE perfect beach wedding dress! It seems that Maggie Sottero has an entire line of destination dresses for such the occasion 🙂 I’ve seen brides get married on the beach in full sized traditional dresses and while it may seem cool in the comfort of the bridal boutique… that thing is VERY thick, full of tons of layers, quite heavy and not breathable. SOOOO… just keep that in mind when planning your wedding day attire 😉
Julie has THE best smile. EVER!
GORGEOUS! Seriously, you’re stunning Julie 🙂
The men ain’t too bad either! (Did I really just say “ain’t”?! What is happening to me?!) The man on the right… that’s his best man… also his dad. You don’t see that very often (I can think of maybe twice?). I love that. Don’t you?
Julie’s dad rocked. Big time.
Final prayer before being announced as husband and wife… 🙂
Michael… I ADORE your love of life and spontaneity!
Every beach wedding should include two things: 1. sunglasses
2. jumping 🙂 What’s a destination wedding without the cliche jump in front of the beach shot?! When I counted to three to get them to jump, Mike jumped at the same time so that people knew their timing. It works very well. 🙂 After I picked out the blog images he came over to check out what I’d selected… “Mike, this is great angle with interesting light…” His response, “Thanks… I took it while jumping” WHAT??!!? MAJOR bonus points for that move. PS. Adam, you’re fun! 🙂
LOVE this 😀 Such great expressions!
DRESSSSS NUMBER TWOOOOOO WITH THE JIMMY CHOOOOOOS!
Please use this as your thank you card. 🙂 I’m a HUGE fan of it.
Julie with her sisters. 😀
SUCH a fantastic party!
Yes, your eyes are not playing tricks on you… that’s the groom’s dad in his arms with a tie around his head…. 😀 Not hard to see why he was the best man!
MANNNNN OHHHH MANNNNNN!!!!!! You two SO rock 😀

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
julie: Seeing Michael cry as I walked down the aisle and during the entire ceremony (note: he never cries – especially in front of all his family and friends). Also, I loved my dad’s “Piano Man” and how it got everyone up and involved. That was a surprise!
michael: Piano Man
What was your favorite detail?
julie: I loved my dresses and shoes (both!). I also liked how the sand dollar place settings turned out that I seriously spent hours making.
michael: The flower shoulder strap on Julie’s dress
Any advice for future bride/grooms?
julie: Figure out what is most important to you and spend the most money from your budget on those things. Also, get married somewhere that’s already beautiful! It saves you money on decorations, flowers, etc. And… hire Bobbi + Mike!
michael: Choose the right person
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
julie: Adam’s moves on the dance floor (the 6′ 6″ groomsman)! Life of the party!
michael: Adam picking up my dad on the dance floor
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
julie: Not anything in particular It would have been nice to have more time with everyone though.
michael: Get better tasting cigars (more than the $1 ones we had from KMart)
What was your favorite wedding purchase?
julie: Bobbi and Mike, of course! Also… our food selections.
michael: The wedding location, La Playa.
You can tell Mikey and I are a couple of Midwesterners…. we were a bittttt red at the end of the day 😉
What was our favorite part of the day?
bobbi: THE DADS!!!!! 1) Watching the relationship that Julie’s dad had with his girls was incredible. a) crying while watching the slideshow. b) holding back the tears right before the walk down the aisle. c) the father/daughter dance… AYKM?! d) during his speech he mentioned how long everyone there had been married. Both sets of grandparents (Julie’s and Michaels) had been married for over 60 years. There were absolutey no divorces in this entire family. e) THE BEST… when he surprised everyone at the grand piano with “Piano Man” and ALL of the guests sang with him. 2) LOVED that Michael picked HIS dad as his best man. The speech he gave was so genuine. “People said to me, ‘well, that’s different that Michael picked you to be his best man… were you surprised?’ No… We’ve always been best friends, who else would he pick?!” 3) Adam, a groomsmen, cracked me up ALLLL day! especially on the dance floor. 4) dancing it up to a little Britney Spears with the bridesmaids. 5) RIGHT before Michael and Julie were announced (as in the band was saying… “and now introduuuucing….” Michael said, “JUMP ON MY BACK!” she did…. and off they went. Michael is the KING of spontanaity 🙂
mike: he’s gone again 🙁 It seems that I like to blog when he’s not around so that I can fully focus… 🙁 Mike, from now on… you have to send me your faves RIGHT after the wedding. Deal? deal!
MUCH LOVE FRIENDS!

I went shopping FOR Mike WITHOUT Mike for the first time ever! I was so nervous. He needed a new suit for shooting a destination wedding. I’d say that after seeing the results… I rocked this out!!!! I’m OBSESSED with seeing him in it! Because it’s so much more light weight… he’s worn it to nearly every wedding since. I can’t take my eyes off of his hotness. Seriously, this man is CUTE!
Three guesses for what I was saying here? ….and the first two guesses don’t count 😉
HA! Even Renee, the singer of the band, couldn’t resist her some Mike 😉 Actually… she was just trying to get around him without ruining the shot… so this was her dance move 😀 Quite slick Renee!

It’s so fun to see you guys shooting on the beach instead of your normal city stuff! I think you should just move to Florida so we can shoot together all the time. 🙂 I’ve been a Florida girl for 20 years but my face gets even redder than yours after a summer wedding.
Any advice for future bride/grooms? And he answers “choose the right person.” Julie-you found yourself a GOOD man.
love BOTH of her dresses.
You never cease to amaze! LOOOOOOVE this wedding B-E-A-utiful!!!!
loving what you picked out for Mike, really “suits” him lol….and beautiful location destination wedding = fun 🙂 I wish we could have done ours in Italy… I don’t think our families would have liked that though! lol
First of all, Bobbi, I noticed the suit already on Facebook and have already obsessed over it. VERY nice. I would love to do some side by side hubby shopping with you! And he wasn’t even THERE?!? Good job wifey!!!!
Ok, on to this wedding. HOLY CATS, that is an adorably beautiful bride! What a beautiful wedding all around.

I’m living in NC and having your dad as the best man is very common here. You guys always do an awesome job!

Gorgeous!! Both of her dresses were so pretty and fit her so well. And I loooooove Mike’s new suit. It looks excellent on him. Great job on picking it out. 🙂
Of course, the photos are GORGEOUS. 😉 But Bobbi, I LOVE what you wore to the wedding! CUTE!
Adorable bride. These images capture what looks to be the most fun wedding ever! Wish I was there.
Bobbi! You guys are just incredible. I just posted my first real wedding and was so excited about them and then I came to see yours and I tell you… I just felt like I will never get where you are… so creative and fun. I know I will grow and with your inspiration I keep trying harder and harder. I think I did OK for my first. I have been a second shooter once and done a very small informal wedding, but this was the first one with all the bells and whistles and I felt like my thoughts were just jumbled in my head. Hopefully that is just normal when you are doing something totally new. THANK YOU for all that you share with everyone!
Very nice! Beach weddings are so fun!! I hope every wedding photographer gets to shoot a beach wedding. Is it possible to take a bad picture on the beach? 🙂
Bobbi + Mike!! Seriously one of my most favorite weddings to date (and that is saying a lot since I <3 all of your weddings)!!!
Absolutely looooove this wedding! So beautiful, so fun, felt like I was there just looking at these photos! You guys never cease to amaze me. My favorite is the ‘thank you card’ one…and the smiling hug…their love just radiates from these (and the others, but especially these).
Totally rocked my socks off! B+M, ditto to what everyone else said. If we lived on the same continent, I would sell off some of my gears to have you two shoot my big day 😉 Thanks for being such an inspiration!
Beautiful as usual y’all! Can a girl EVER have too many shoes? I don’t think so, especially not if they’re Jimmy Choos!
I love them all. Wow.
I would be content with just trying on one of those amazing pairs of shoes. I wouldn’t even have to own them.
On another note, these pictures rock.
love the “choose the right person” reply – what a sweetie! 🙂
Well she’s just about the cutest bride i’ve ever seen!! these are so fun! :0)
Amazing pics! They look very sunny, happy and positive!
Best wishes to this cute couple!!!
Julie is obviously one of those immortal women who doesn’t melt in the heat and wind. Looks like you all had a great time and turned out some B-EAU-TI-FUL treasures!!! 🙂

UM! are you kidding me with that hanger that her dress is on?! their names? how cute is that! LOVE this wedding.. cant wait to have you guys shoot me and my main squeeze over here in OH someday! ((hugs))
Sorry I am so late on my commenting! This wedding was AH-MAZING!!! Her dresses were so perfect!! The first one is just GORGEOUS for a beach wedding with that side shoulder strap. The couple look like so much fun, and there was such emotion to the day, captured so well by you two. Great job guys!
Hey BB+MK! I just took a quick peak at your blog for the first time in a while, and I gotta say…you two have grown and changed SO much since you shot our wedding June 1, 2007 in Bloomington. Don’t take this the wrong way. I am IN LOVE with our engagement and wedding photos and love to look at them often (and wouldn’t change a single thing about them!)…I just notice such a nice progression and development in your work…the shooting and the processing and I love to see how you’ve grown and continued to learn new things in the last 3 years. LOVE looking at your work and hope to schedule a family session with you in the future. Our adorable Milo NEEDS to be captured by the BBMK awesomeness.
Gorgeous bride! What a beautiful wedding. I am never disappointed when I pop into your page.
