I have been so excited to show you this wedding! I love me a shared-prong wedding band! If I were a newly engaged lady, the shared prong pave is definitely what I’d be asking for!
Meet Ryne, he’s Jamie and Travis’ son… and he’s ridiculously cute! Side note: are you KIDDING me with those red pumas?! AHHHH!!!! So stinking cute!Jamie, along with her partner in crime Michelle, are Northern Indiana based wedding photographers. When they showed up to the Microtel (there aren’t many hotel options in LaPorte) the night before, Jamie and Michelle started to have a panic attack… they were sending me Instagrams.  Jamie said, “This is seriously the worst hotel to photograph in! I had no idea!”

I responded, “As long as it has a window… I got this!”  You guys know I love me a good challenge!
…MICROTEL MICROSCHPELL! 😉 A big window makes ALL of the difference! Future brides take note. 🙂

Look at all of their faces here! 😀  If I were to guess based solely on their expressions, I would guess that the dress was on the verge of catching fire or something! Here’s Jamie’s sweet momma. 😀…a gift from Travis. The card reads, “Jamie…  –My current fiancé  –My future wife  –My love since day one.….all of these were taken in the aforementioned hotel. I know I’m beating a dead horse here, but it’s important! We’ll ALWAYS take good light over cool backgrounds. This is the perfect example of that.

By the way, that image on the right? Totally candid. I remember having the distinct thought that the videographers had it easy that day because she moved so gracefully. Me, on the other hand, I’m a bit of a spaz… NOT so good for video. 😉
CRAZY JUMPING GROOMSMEN!!! AHHH!!!! 😀Loved the turquoise dresses and yellow shoes. 🙂 See the duo on the right? There they are… Jamie and Michelle! Hot tamale men in suits never gets old to me.
Maya threw those flowers better than I’ve ever seen any flower girl throw them. I mean, if there were such a thing as a professional flower girl… she could carry that title. Just sayin’I love their love. Damn I’m way deep. ::said while softly playing the bongos while wearing a black beret::MARRIED!
….bluuuuuue skiiiiiies smilin’ at meeeee….….time for a few portraits! Side note #2: Mike and I have photographed quite a few wedding photographers’ weddings… and our observation? VERY few of them do a first look. Interesting, eh? The grass was so soft… who are we to resist?! Mike’s favorite ❓Jamie, you have such a beautiful and genuine smile. WHOAH!!! I have no words for the beauty that is in this image! One of my favorite portraits of the year. For real. ❗
Toast & dinner time! There’s Ryne during the best man’s toast. His face says, “psh… I’ve heard better…” 😉 Maya picking her fake nose was cracking me up!
Then after dinner I saw this gorgeous sunset and asked if they wanted to head out for 10 minutes. Duh. Of course they would. Side note #3: As they got closer I quickly grabbed my iPhone to snap a pic for Instagram… but much to my surprise, as I waited the half second for my camera to turn on… it was somehow put in selfie mode. The look on my face was hilarious to me, so yes… I quickly snapped the pic before correcting it.. I was clearly SO HYPE about this sunset! I look like some creepy leprechaun photographer!first dance. 🙂Jamie’s mom is part of two different poker groups. So when Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” came on… the two groups battled it out. For me, it was the funniest part of the whole night! I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes! Side note #4: I was standing so close to these women to capture this image (using the 35mm 1.4L) that I think I got hit in the face like three times. They “Poked her face.” DAMNNN!!! I GOT JOKES ALL DAYYYY!!!!! 😀 Oh the hazards of wedding photography! I tell you though, worth the pain. 😉 Travis’ family loved to dance! PS. HI ELLIE! Last song of the night. Here was one of my captures. And here was one of Mike’s. We shoot quite differently at receptions. Me? No flash and grainy black and whites. Mike? Flashed, sharp, colorful, bright, awesome. 😀 BTW, wherrrrre’s Waldo?! 😉

[br]What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Jamie:  There were so many! 1. The few minutes I had right before the ceremony with just my dad…I can’t even describe that feeling. I’ve never felt that way before in my life.  2. When Travis and I were saying our vows to each other it felt like no one else was there, even though there were hundreds of eyeballs on us. Smile 3. Laying in the grass as Bobbi took some photos of us….I just wanted to lay there forever and look at the sky it was so relaxing.

Travis: Seeing my beautiful, soon-to-be, wife for the first time as she came down the isle….that and marrying her!

[br] Any advice for future bride/grooms?

Jamie:    1. Hire Bobbi + Mike.  2. Sit back at dinner and look at all the people that love you and came to celebrate your marriage with you.

Travis: Take as many moments as possible to soak everything in, as the day is over before you know it.

[br]Funniest memory from your wedding day?

Jamie:  Our hotel room was ridiculously small for all the girls to get ready in.  We had the makeup artist set up right at the corner of the bed, so no one could get to the other side of the bed. Well, Bobbi shows up and wants to get to the other side of the bed.  So she climbs on the bed,  rolling on it to get to the other side, then starts jumping up and down on the bed singing something along the lines of…” I feel so sexy!” It was hilarious! Sorry I’m so classy! HA! Though you do have to admit that I was quite sexy! 😉

Travis: When I went to give my best man a hug after his speech, for whatever reason, i somehow ended up kissing him on the cheek.

[br]If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Jamie:  I would have hemmed my dress so that I could have been barefoot all night. Well, I was barefoot, I just had to hold my dress up.   Otherwise, everything else was PERFECT.

Travis: Not a thing at all.  It was the most amazing day ever.

[br]Where are you going on your honeymoon?

Antiqua in December!

“gimme a huggggg…”Holy hell to that handsome photographer! It was dinner time and we were in re-group mode. Mike was leaning against this wall talking to me and I said, “DON’T MOVE! YOU ARE SO HANDSOME RIGHT NOW!” Am I right?! Meanwhile, there’s me, snapped just a few hours later… the spastic photographer. 😉 The good news: he thinks I’m pretty. 🙂

PS. I had four haircuts last month. #1 was a normal trim. #2 was when I decided I needed a lower maintenance hairdo… i.e. let it go naturally wavy. There were zero layers in it and I felt very homely. So haircut #3 was the fixing of haircut #2 where a lady added layers… And by layers I mean, she cut my hair into the shape of a mushroom. The bottom of the mushroom was also lovingly referred to as my mullet. So haircut #4? Yep… I did it myself. 😉 More on that later.
