WELLLLL…. I've been putting off weighing… as I've been feeling REALLY bad about myself and my choices for the past two weeks. You see, if you at all follow me on Twitter… I've been traveling a LOT lately… and when I travel… I REALLY struggle with healthy eating.
In the past, we've tried packing a cooler… but it usually stinks up the whole car and if you know me… bad smells make me nauseous… so, that's a no go. I also struggle with making good "out-to-eat" choices when traveling. And then… yes yes yes… when I'm out of the office so much… I don't make time for working out because I'll take EVERY second I can get to get caught up with work… and the gym just doesn't fit into that schedule. So, of course… I have terrible anxiety attacks when I know that it's going to be a busy travel week. With anxiety comes eating. I SUCK AT TRAVELING+DIETING!!!!!! 🙁 And if these appear to be excuses… they aren't… I'm fully admitting to bad choices.
To be honest… all of this travel is the reason I started gaining weight back in July… travel is a HUGE part of my biz… so I'm going to HAVE to learn how to deal with it and make better decisions…. or I'm going to be on this slippery slope FOREVERRRRR!
SOOOOOO….. my offical weigh in? I've gained 1.2 pounds back… making my total weight loss -2.4 pounds since the beginning.
Sorry to be such a debbie downer… I've just been DREADING writing this because I KNEW I had nothing good to report… 🙁
Starting this week…. my travel schedule is GREATLY reduced… so, that's FANTASTIC news for me and my weight loss.
I hope you all have had a better couple of weeks than I have… 😀 And you know what… even if you didn't… I'll still love you! We all have ups and downs, right? RIGHT!

Sadly, I feel your pain. Sick family – you would think I would lose weight, but no weight loss this week. Still at the same percentage as before, but never fear, next weigh in is going to rock.
I’m at 2.03% total..I haven’t weighed myself since last Monday, because I got sick with a stomach bug this week and I’m going to W/W tomorrow for this week’s weigh in. 🙂
I can completely relate to the travel/diet anxiety. We are going to spend the better part of November on the road and I am really stressing. So many things out of my control!! But I think admitting it’s a problem for you is a big step towards holding yourself accountable to control whatever you can! Hang in there Bobbi!

Traveling and working out is so hard, especially because you cannot cook. Eating out is such a treat to me, that I like to go all out! I am happy you’re home now! And I know that overtime you will get better at being healthy and traveling! 🙂

I’m at the same as last week, -1.875%. Honestly, gaining back a pound isn’t that big of a deal…your weight fluctuates 2 pounds during one day! (at least that’s what the Wii Fit tells me 🙂 ) I made NO time for working out this week which is sad. I was home trying to catch up on editing, but still. I’ll be out of town for a solid week starting tomorrow so we’ll see what happens.
It’s always deceiving when eating out…I ordered a salad at Ted’s for a long time thinking it was healthier, but I would have been better off with half a burger and fries the whole time! THAT’S frustrating! So check websites before eating out, a lot of them have the info there. Good luck, don’t get down! 🙂

Well I didn’t officially start the group with a before photo due to a really poor excuse. I was so exhausted from work I slept through the deadline. Before pics are still on my camera. I am, however, following along on Twitter, blog, FB, etc. Started at 190. Then my gma passed away. Went to out of town funural and ended up eating fast food almost every meal cause of the circumstances. I managed to get back down to 190, then lost more. When I weighed on Wednesday I was at 187. Total weight loss -3 lbs.
Last weigh in I had gained some, this time I took some of that back off. Total weight loss is not 1.2 pounds. Not great, but headed in the right direction this time. 🙂

I understand the frustration- I was on our couch with the flu for about 5 days and didn’t run for a whole week which I hate! I am down 1.76% which is nice to see 🙂
Keep trucking along everyone! Put on a pair of jeans you are working to get back and use that as motivation!! That’s what I have had to do to remind me what I am cutting out my sweets 🙂
I’ve been sick all week so no gym for me BUT I’m down 5% over all! That made me super happy until I realized some of that is probably muscle that I lots from being glued to the couch, LOL. Oh well, I’m going to hit the gym hard next week so I just need to keep that in mind if I see the #s creep back up.
P.S. Bobbi I’m sending you major cyber hugs!! Don’t feel bad! You do the best you can and that’s all you can do. We love you!! 🙂
I am not actually sure as my weight has fluctuated every other day but I am going with what I think it is right now so 1.8%. Not great, not bad, just is what it is.
I’m down 3.77% since the beginning…and hit a major weight goal today! I have now officially entered “onederland” 😀
Bobbi! It is such a hard time of year and thank you so much for your continued support and honesty. I’ve been struggling too with lots of shoots and editing and not so much time for the exercise and cooking right. My total weight loss so far is only 1.02%

5.1% total, this is just a busy time of year getting everyone’s photos in before it gets to cold outside! I have been crazy busy and my mom who I walk with every week has been out of town so not the results I had been seeing but I will take a loss. Hang in there, traveling is very difficult!

BOBBI! You HAVE to read or listen to “French Women Don’t Get Fat” !! The author’s job requires her to eat out 300x a year and she still manages to keep a healthy physique. No diets, just smart choices! Lots of good tips in there and it makes a ton of sense!
Don’t be down Bobbi!! We all make mistakes and plateau or gain. You WILL get it off again!! Refocus and attack it girl!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bobbi – although I’m not on the healthy train (cause I got a BABY IN MY BELLY in my FAT BASTARD VOICE) I wanted to say a few things…
#1 – traveling while dieting is hard. You couldn’t be farther from failing. So you went up 1.2 lbs. For as much travel, lack of time to work out and having to eat out – that’s not bad. Bad is gaining – and not trying to do something about it. We are all going to have times in our lives when we are busier than others and during those busier times we might not lose and doing our down times we do – so it all shakes out.
#2 – You are a winner in my book because despite your gain – you are still on this healthy train. I think the hardest thing is to continue and not get discouraged. I’m very proud of you and all the weight YOU HAVE lost. You have completely transformed yourself and don’t forget that.

Anxiety and food are best friends, I am right there with you! On the up side from your schedule, you have been to Normal, so it can’t be all that bad (just love the name, no nothing about the locale! lol)
I am now down 3.8%. I am finding keeping something, even an apple in my purse has been a lifesaver. I have talked myself out of buying something on many many occasions because I know I have that there if I need to eat something instead of wanting to eat because of stress
Question for all: I am a habit eater- I need to much while editing photos. What are some of your healthy go to’s snacks while working???
Stayed exactly the same as last week. Was in Denver for 6 days and truly amazed that I didn’t gain anything. And this week has been all about editing and not about exercising. Next week is a new week, right???

So I am down 1% right now, but in the past 2 weeks, I have quit smoking and gave up caffine including coffee. So I am alright with a weight setback. I begin using the treadmill at the gym during lunch on Monday!!
Bobbi, you have all of us to support you. You will get through it, one day at a time.
I know you get tons of advice from all your commenters, but here’s my two cents 🙂
Try little changes – such as bringing a bag of apples or oranges on your trip. Then before you eat a meal out, eat a piece of fruit so you are less hungry. Or, if you are doing fast food use that fruit as your side.

I totally know what you mean about eating while traveling. I’ve been on the road so much this last month. I am happy to report however that after gaining for the last weigh in, I have lost 1.2% as of today. A slow start, but heading down the right path.

I’ve really slacked off this past week. I have not lost anything in the past 2 weeks, though I think I have lost some inches. I can now fit into jeans that I haven’t fit into for 1.5 years! Woo Hoo! Total= -4%

I was sick all the first week so no gym time, and the second week watching my niece and nephew- where lots of sweets were baked together! But I did lose 1.7lbs some how!
Eating while travelling is something I haven’t figured out either… keep it up, you’re doing great!
I’m exactly the same this week as last time. 2.8% so far and happy that I maintained considering it was thanksgiving here, and I hosted 2 B-day parties in the last 2 weeks.

So sorry I’m late. I have lost a total of 1% this go round and am so happy to not have gone any higher. I have yet to make it to the gym and KNOW that once I do, things will get so much better because just with being more active daily since I lost my desk job has helped immensely.
I’m ashamed to say that I haven’t lost anything in the last two weeks… But I guess that’s better than gaining,right? My schedule has been incredibly busy and I haven’t been able to fit in much exercise-wise unfortunately… 🙁

I don’t know what your traveling looks like but some good ideas might be to pack a resistance band and a jump rope in your luggage and try to squeeze in a little strength and cardio during downtime. Also, get a cope of Eat This, Not That for restaurants to help you make better choices when eating out. Just a suggestion!

So, even though I did weigh in on weigh in day, I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to post. I haven’t been doing so well…..even when I’m staying on track, I am at that point that the weight is VERY SLOWLY coming off! 🙁 This is when I usually get discouraged and quit, but I’m still hanging in there………thanks to the motivation of everyone involved! My total weight loss at last weigh in was 4.37%.

But I went to the gym this morning and signed up for a years worth of personal training.
And tomorrow I go to the nutritionist!
