I'd like to tell you all about my experience at the gym yesterday with my personal trainer. I'm an "all or nothing" kind of girl… and when I'm there, I give 150%… and REALLY push myself. Why go if I'm not going to work at it?! Well… about after 45 minutes of an all out effort… I began to feel dizzy. WHOA! I started seeing white spots and couldn't walk in a straight line. It was the STRANGEST feeling… and I never want to feel that way again. I remember feeling sort of like that after a long run when I was training with the Army… but, never that bad. Back then, I gave SO much of myself… I would NEVER fall out of a formation while running. Once, we had to do an 8 mile base run… I was one of four women who stayed in the formation and never fell out. We lost the other 40 or so. When it came to pushups and situps… I had the female battalion record. I used to max my Physical Fitness tests… can you believe THAT?! With how awkward and short I am… I was somehow VERY strong. However, I'm NOT in that kind of shape now… So… a lesson learned… 140% will have to do… for now 😉
And because you know I hate posts without photos… Here are some from my Army days. I was in the Army National Guard for six years. I spent about seven months active duty training in both South Carolina and Georgia. These photos are from my training….
This one I scanned in from the little yearbook think they give us. I'm repelling off of a 60 foot wall famously referred to as Victory Tower. I found a video of someone doing it here… if you're interested. 🙂 It feels MUCH higher up than it looks in that video. 😀 Oh… and it feels amazing on your butt! 😉 NOT!

Okay… these photos make me laugh SOOOOOOO hard! Kelsi OKEEEEEEFEEEEEE and I were BESSSST friends and LOVED to make eachother and everyone around us laugh. Here are some photos of us on just one random Sunday evening when all of the drill sergeants were leaving us alone. The two photos on the left are when we became "Private too cool and Private oh so cool" She's thrown someones weave on top of her head and I'm well… ridiculous. We went around from room to room to tell everyone to "stay cool." OMG… I'm CRACKING up right now… Maybe you had to be there… HAHAHAHAAAA!!!!! The photo on the top right… that was me as the unibomber. And on the bottom right… we decided to start an Army singing group. No… those aren't real M16s we're singing into… no need to be alarmed. GOSH we had SO much FUN! I'm convinced that the two of us could have made ANY situation OH SO COOOOOL! HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!

Those army pictures were GREAT! I love them all! Great job on your weight loss! I didn’t lose any this week (maybe I’ll just follow a pattern of losing every other week??). I think it’s awesome how much total weight the group has lost. I need to remember to be really dilligent this coming week while my house is loaded with my kids’ Halloween candy. Ahh!!

Hey Bobbi…ok, so if we are one week three: week 1 I lost 3.6 (oh my gosh!), week 2 I gained 0.4, and week 3 I lost 2.4. I have to say though, I’m feeling a little blah about this week…damn Halloween! 🙂 Congrats to you and whole healthy club on the progress. woohoo!

And just to mention, my Best Friend was in the National Guard for 5 years. She joined in May 2001 to get her college education paid for and then the world went crazy on 9/11/2001 and she was immediately shipped to Iraq. She spent 10 months there and saw some crazy things 🙁 But she’s home safe now and has been for a few years and I thank her every day for her time spent there for people like me.

Well, nothing for me, 🙁 But I do FEEL thinner and I did work out pretty well this week. So I am not bummed.. I know since I don’t really have much to lose, it’s harder to make it come off. I asked hubby if I look thinner.. He said yes.. He’s a smart man 😉

Awwww man, I only lost .2 pounds. Point two!!!! I’m irritated,…I was down 2 whole pounds yesterday and then all of a sudden for weigh in I sprung back up. Grrr!!!!

**UPDATE*** Well I weighed this AM since I normally weigh Saturdays anyhow and I am down a lb afterall. So 😛 down 4 lbs total!! WOOT! A little over a lb a week is great for me.
I am down 1.5 lbs. Slow but sure.
Unfortunately we’re in the middle of moving, so I don’t even have a scale to weight myself. I can pretty safely say I didn’t gain this week, but that’s just going off of clothing fit. I’ll be back next week though!
A day late weighing in 🙁 I did weigh myself yesterday morning but was running around all day like a headless chicken with my sis in law an her kids..getting prepared for a fun halloween. Anyway, no loss for me this week..i am bummed as ive been sick with a chest infection..but then i realised i have been living on a diet of very buttery crumpets & toasted bagels this week…ah well.
Ive sent myself a fairly modest xmas goal of 10lbs. I cant afford to join a gym right now..so,i have to make sure i do enough exercise myself.

Good job everyone! I’m down another 1lb, which brings me to 3.5 I think since this began. Maybe 4.0, though. . . . I’d have to go check. . . . Primarily doing my own mix of Weight Watchers cooking for myself, the boyfriend, and my son, and portion control to get me back into the swing of good diabetes control, taking my meds (for PCOS/insulin resistance) with some degree of faithfulness, and drinking more water. Workouts are to be added once I get this part down. :o) Hopefully down 16 by Christmas, 100 down is my long term goal. . .
I have no idea how i lost cause i had too much fun this weekend and ate terribly but i lost 3 lbs – which makes my total….3 lbs 🙂

Okay…I’m jumping on board. I haven’t lost any this week, but in the past 8 weeks I’m down 12lbs. Goal for Christmas is to lose 10 more!!! My friend Jen is going to be visiting me in CA from NJ and she will be taking photographs of me whether I lose or not…so you know I’ve got to do it!
