A bride and groom BOTH in the Navy?! A groom with most of the groomsmen wearing their Navy Dress Blues?!??!?! AHHH!!!! We were SO hype about this wedding!
John is one of three sons… all of which are Navy officers. Elise, you have such a perfect profile. Molly’s sister is Molly Ringwald… she’s not as recognizable without her distinct red hair… but I assure you… it’s Molly Ringwald.*  *I’m kidding. that’s not Molly Ringwald, but she really DOES look just like her! I mean… minus the aforementioned distinct red hair. 😉Elise’s sister and mom. The Omni is HANDS DOWN my favorite Indianapolis hotel for getting ready. Why you may ask? Huge windows and lots of room. 🙂…meanwhile…Any Indianapolis locals recognize this wall?
LOVE!Downtown Indianapolis has some of the most beautiful Catholic churches around. Fo’ real!
MARRRRRIEDDDD!!!Our military has some beautiful dress uniforms. When I was in my advanced Army training there were many different service members around… I was always SO jealous of the Navy women… they, in my OH SO HUMBLE opinion, have the best dress uniforms…. namely their caps. In 2000, we Army ladies were lucky enough to wear a hat that had a nickname that’s not blog appropriate. Click here to see a picture and draw your own conclusions. 😉
Mike’s favorite. ❗BTW, did you see me in the photo above?! 😀Elise… all of that working out you do is paying off. Your collar bone?! BOOM! Not to mention that tiny waist?! AHHH! You’re gorgeous Elise!
#onbrand 😉
How NEAT is that groom’s cake?! It sat right at the entrance of the reception. As the guests walked in, it would stop them in their tracks… “WHOA! Check out the ship cake!”
I ducked down below the ship cake in an attempt to ambush the guests reactions. I know I know… “ambush” may be a little bit of an over-the-top word for the situation but with all of this military talk I’m having a hard time resisting! Whatever the case, “Operation Ambush Cake Reaction: SUCCESS!” 😉
First dance. That image on the right is my favorite. ❗
They had a cigar bar set up in the courtyard.
…it was quite the hit!The real benefit of wearing a bow tie that doesn’t clip?! THIS!On the left… John’s dad. 😀We just loved your day!

[br]What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Elise:  The Sword Arch!  I loved seeing the arch, with the bubbles in the background and being “Welcomed Into the Family”

John: The Cigar Bar

[br] Any advice for future bride/grooms?

Elise:  Spray tan, high 90’s, and a white gown….ewww.  Oh, and don’t attempt to power slide in your dress.  It’s just not a good idea.

John:  If you can figure out how to wear shorts and t-shirts in Indiana in August, more power to you.

[br]If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Elise:  No posed family photos-only time I was stressed (my family can’t follow directions)!

John: I’d only eat the scallops and bacon…

[br]Where did you go on your honeymoon?

JAMAICA!

[br] [br] [br] Ohhhh Mike… I’m so sorry that I’m such a ding-a-ling when I’m shooting portraits that I just drop my bags in random places, forget to grab them, thus leaving you to turn into a pack mule. You’ve got my back… always and without question. I love you dude. Oh hey look… it’s ME!

[br] [br] [br] [br] Much love friends!
