Our first ever Detroit visit… Brittany and Andy’s wedding! 😀

As we drove there I couldn’t quit singing, “…look… if you had… one shot… or one opportunity… to seize everything you ever wanted… one moment… would you capture it… or just let it slip…” Luckily Mike thinks I’m cute because I’m a weeee bit annoying. 😉 “You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow… this opportunity comes once in a lifetime…” Damn, I’m so cool.

Anyway… back to the task at hand… 🙂

Introducing Brittany, the bride. …and her sweet bridesmaids. 🙂
Here’s Andy, he loves Brittany, a lot! I learned, during the best man’s toast that when he asked Brittany to be his girlfriend when they were in high school, he filled the room with candles. And that was just the beginning. BOOOOOM!A prayer right before the ceremony. Mike’s favorite. ❓
I love how they were looking at each other during their perfect ceremony.
First they prayed privately….…then they invited their immediate families to join them. MARRIED!They’re way cute. My favorite image from the day! ❗
The War Memorial’s grounds were beautiful! The guy on the end, left side… his jump wins. 🙂 Hey, just because you’re the groom doesn’t mean that you get to win everything! Though Andy, yours is a very close second… 😉

Love this!

[br]What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Brittany:   I loved locking eyes on Andy as my father and I walked down the aisle. At first, it was really humbling to see all our family and friends there, watching us make our way down the aisle. But as soon as I saw Andy, it was like everything stopped, disappeared, and I was home.

Andy: As I saw Brittany coming through the gardens about to walk down the isle, I had a brief moment where I closed my eyes and recapped the last 8 years of knowing Brittany. Mental images of us as High School best friends scrolled through my head–going back to the 15 and 16 year old versions of us all the way up to minutes before we were about to be husband and wife!

[br] Any advice for future bride/grooms?

Brittany:  Hire Bobbi and Mike. Seriously. I realize this is their blog and this type of advice seems cheesy, but it is true. I have been following photo blogs for years, and they are simply the best. EVERYONE (including grandmothers and random guests) were incredibly impressed by their abilities and professionalism on our wedding day. Bobbi and Mike are experts. They made sure every shot was perfect, catered to our every desire, and took time to get to know my family. Not only are they incredible photographers, but their expertise provided wedding coordinating guidance. I just love them and will recommend them to every bride and groom I meet.

Andy: Enjoy your engagement period. For many couples, this is the shortest “season” of their relationship. They may have been friends for quite a while, dated for years, and will be married for years but only engaged for months. It is truly a unique period in your relationship and can be so rich if you let it. Enjoy planning your special day together and talking through your soon-to-be reality!

[br]Funniest memory from your wedding day?

Brittany:   It is amazing how many things happened without us realizing it! It wasn’t until several weeks later that my family filled me in on all the mishaps: a groomsman almost fainted, another got a little sick before our reception entrance, and the maid of honor’s speech script got lost last minute! But probably the funniest memory was when Bobbi acted so silly in order to make my 18 month old niece/flower girl smile. We were all laughing by the time Bobbi was finished and Abby cracked a smile.

Andy: My brother’s toast made me laugh. When I do something kind of dumb or crazy, Brittany and I sometimes quote a line from his toast–“Now that’s what I would call pretty extreme.”

[br]If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Brittany:  There are always things that could have been tweaked here or there, but regrets waste time. Our day was perfect because it unified Andy and me in marriage. What more could a girl want?

Andy:  I probably would have lost a few more pounds 🙂

[br]Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Brittany: We went to Maui for 10 days. It was wonderful. We stayed at the Ka’anapali Beach Club Resort, and it was AMAZING! Totally recommend Hawaii as a honeymoon destination because it feels like international travel without the hassle of passports and outrageous cell phone bills.
Andy: I went to St. Lucia. 😉

Dang, who’s that hot photographer?! Oh! It’s my husband!  Boom, I got lucky!

[br] [br] [br] Brittany and Andy, thank you so much for everything. You two are an incredible couple. 🙂

Much love friends!
