Guess who’s back, back again?! Bobbi’s back! Tell your friends! 😉
… BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW BEAUTIFUL LINDA IS?! Not only on the outside though, she is one of the most generous, genuine, and thoughtful people I’ve ever met. Truly. Those of you who are lucky enough to be loved by Linda never forget it because she’ll always find ways to let you know.
AYKM WITH THIS BOUQUET??!? But really?!! One of the most beautiful bouquets I’ve ever seen! Their florist Grace is an artist.
Linda and Jake didn’t have a formal wedding party. However, when Linda asked for some photos with all of her best friends, you know how I be! “Ladies, I saw a cool green garage door around the corner, come with me!” Wedding photographer fo’ life!
I asked her to throw her veil to her side, I’d say she definitely nailed it!
Stephen and I love love loved all of their parents. This is Joan and Wei. Later on at the reception, Joan was the life of the party!
It was 39° during the ceremony. Linda said something along the lines of, “I’m not going to be uncomfortable at my wedding so I’m wearing a coat.” I’d say that was an amazing call.
Jake’s parents, Sue Ann and Ben. After getting to know them and falling in love with their kindness, I told Ben that we’d been on the hunt for a grandpa for our kids because they don’t have one and then I asked if we could adopt him as their grandpa. He laughed and said, “I’d love to!” Maybe that was too far? Probably.
Their ceremony was in downtown Louisville on the roof of their venue. It was such an awesome scene.
Jake sat behind Linda in a class at Purdue and that was how they met. In the midst of his vows he said, “The back of yo head is ridiculous!” I laughed WAY out loud (you know how I do) because… welllll… it’s one of my all-time favorite MADtv skits. “You bein’ all selective ‘cause you got a ponytail. right? You think a lotta men can’t handle the regalness of a up do, right? Don’t be insecure girl. Own that ponytail! Work that up do!”
After the ceremony I mentioned to him that “Can I have yo’ number” was one of my favorite skits.
Linda said, “it’s from a skit?!”
Jake – “I’ve shown it to you.”
Linda – “You did?! Oh yeah, I kind of remember now.”
We did a quick walk around the venue for portrait time.
Two words: ON. BRAND.
I know you’ve already seen this one at the top of this blog post, but it deserved to be re-shown. When I placed them in the middle of the garage door and walked across the street and turned around, I screamed! “THIS SCENE IS FILLING UP MY SOUL!!! I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!”
Have we talked enough about how gorgeous her bouquet was? I don’t think we have. IT WAS GORRRGEOUS!!!
Linda and Jake surprised literally everyone (we were the only ones who knew) with a Chinese Lion Dance and it was epic!
Their wedding was truly the perfect day.
Linda and Jake, we are now friends for life. I mean, we are adopting Jake’s dad, so I guess that makes us family? 😉 Next time we’re in Boston, can you please hook me up with that amazing bread again? YUMMMM-TOWWWWWN!
Much love friends,
Bobbi
PS. When I originally drafted this blog post I attempted to join the rest of society and placing the accompanying captions under the images rather than on top. However, I just couldn’t do it and moved them back. I’m sorry friends, I’m in too deep! It just makes sense that way to me. It’s a story and to be read chronologically. It’s just the way it is.
