Chicago, Ill.

This was the second time Megan and I photographed this family. The first time was in Indianapolis, but this time we mixed it up and did the session in Chicago. Side note: be sure to click that link above for a guaranteed smile. 😀

Mary came to our photography workshop last year! Shameless plug: We still have two spots left at our April 27-28 Louisville Bobbi Photo Wedding and Family Photography Workshop!  A 2-day workshop full of amazingness by MegMoney and meeee!  Learn everything you need to know about running your business, natural/comfortable/easy/fun posing, consistent processing, authentic client relationships and MUCH more! We’ll have real, down-to-earth discussions of the what, how, and why of everything we do. Be there or be square!

JESSICAAAAA AND BRANNNNNDONNNN!!!! These two are good for your soul. If you know them, you know exactly what I mean! Jessica has a way of making every single person feel like the most important person in the room.  Brandon has a genuine thoughtful kindness about him that you can clearly see in his eyes. If you see this duo walking down the street, please be sure to stop and say hello. I assure you, you won’t regret it!

Jessica is unapologetically herself at all times. Those are always my favorite kind of people.

Jessica & Brandon

This groomsmen’s tux pants were WAYYYYY too long! So the best man busted out his best MacGyver moves and fixed it with a stapler and a Sharpie. Badaboom badabing, FIXED!

See what I mean about Brandon’s kind eyes? 🙂 I assign emojis to all of the people in my life (I’m the dancer in the red dress, duh) and if I were to assign one to Brandon it would most definitely be the heart eye emoji!

Jessica & Brandon

Their ceremony was one of my favorites of all time. Jessica couldn’t stop crying (the officiant had to keep blotting Jess’ tears!) and interjecting her thoughts while Brandon would just look at her lovingly through it all.

Something about me that’s very different than most photographers: I never ask people to kiss while posing. So all of the photos of them kissing, that’s because they couldn’t resist each other. 😉

Jessica & Brandon

YES! I must profess that I’m obsessed with the dress that was so perfectly Jess!*

*I confess: that took me way too long express. Nonetheless, I digress.

On brand!

They originally wanted to have a destination wedding in New Orleans. They settled for being introduced with a New Orleans style second line, and it was SO perfectly them!

After their reception events we hopped into a golf cart and chased the sunset light. And I’m not being cutesy when I say that we chased the sunset… we REALLY were chasing the light!

Indianapolis, Ind.

I’ve recently noticed that purple is making a wedding comeback!

Such a fun group of groomsmen!

Abby & David

This was actually my first ever wedding at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis (if you can believe that!). When I think about that hotel the first thing that comes to mind is how BLUE it is! Soooo…. when Abby & David said they didn’t want to go far for their portraits, Meg$$$ and I decided to just shoot them all within about 1000 feet from the front door and embrace the blue…. as we both love a good challenge! I’d say we nailed it. 😀

Jewish weddings are my favorite. 🙂 This was Megan’s first and now she gets my love for them!

Don't mind me, I'll just be over here blending into this bush in the corner.

We really try not to be too much of a distraction when we shoot.

Nicole and Abby: two #bobbibrides, nine years apart! 😀 Nicole is David’s sister (and now Abby’s sister-in-law). When I first met David  in 2009 I think he was in high school!
