It’s been a few years since anyone asked us to photograph an engagement session in the heart of downtown Chicago. So when Megan & Sean suggested it, we were all in!

What they said

How they met...

We got engaged in Caseville, MI. Megan’s grandma lives there and it is on the beach on Lake Huron. It is a very special location for Megan and somewhere that she was excited to share with Sean. We got there on the Friday of Labor Day weekend and he proposed right after we hopped out of the car on the beach at sunset.

Together: 1.5 years // Engaged: August 31, 2018 // Wedding: September 14, 2019

Ceremony

The ceremony is usually my favorite part of a wedding day. After all it’s the whole reason we’re all there, right? Everything before and after is a celebration of that ceremony. Have I mentioned lately that I love being a wedding photographer? Because I really REALLY do!

Getting Ready

Seeing all of these in one place makes me realize how incredibly lucky we are to have this first hand intimate view of someone’s biggest day. Thank you all so much for entrusting us with some of your most private hours full of laughs, tears, “oh my goodness I’m really doing this thing” moments, and everything else in between.
