We met in law school. Dave got Julia’s digits before classes even started and spent the next three years texting her about joining different group get-togethers. She spent the same three years texting back “Sorry, who is this?” because saving contact information was not her thing. Luckily, Dave always let her know it was him and we developed a great friendship built on a mutual love of late night interpretive dance parties, chicken fingers, and a little-known political candidate named Barack Obama (not necessarily in that order). After graduation we both found ourselves single, Dave asked Julia out, and she realized even before their date that they were actually perfect for each other and duh, why didn’t we think of this before? We fell in love and got married on a ridiculously rainy and windy day four years later (thanks again for rocking our wedding, Bobbi!). Four years after that our little miracle, Teddy, was born!

Teddy sleeps twelve hours, and mom and dad both wake up refreshed. Mom showers and does her hair, and Dad drinks his coffee while playing with Teddy, who is definitely not screaming for MORE MILK PLEASE. We go to a trendy brunch spot and Teddy’s clothes stay clean and he does not pee all over himself.

Hahaha that never happens. Honestly we are so in love with our little guy that most Saturdays are spent fawning over him, trying to sneak in some naps, and sometimes forgetting to change out of our PJs. Perfect, and everything we wished for in our long journey to make our dream of having a baby a reality.
