By the time I noticed The Lumineers were coming to town, the show had already sold out. I pleaded three times on Facebook for any one of my friends who may have extra tickets they were trying to get rid of. Welllll… I had no bites so I a week before the show I bit the bullet and overpaid for two tickets on Stubhub (those fees are RIDICULOUS).
Wellll… the day before the show my Facebook friend Sean Molin asked if I wanted his media pass because he was a bit backed up with all of the other concerts he’d been photographing and he remembered that I really wanted to go. With the media pass, the photographer usually gets to shoot the first three songs from the sides by the first row. UMMMM…. YES PLEASE!
So, he added my name to the list and off I went armed with my camera and two lenses: a 50mm & a 200mm.
After I photo’d the first three songs, I headed back to my seat and enjoyed the rest of the show.
…..which was just as incredible as I expected! The band brought so much energy to the venue!
I’ve been to so many amazing shows this year:
- Houndmouth
- Bruce Springsteen
- Victor Wooten
- Mumford and Sons
- Paul McCartney
- Sturgill Simpson
- Kenny Chesney (I got free tickets and it was a surprisingly fun show!)
- The Lumineers
…and I’ve only just begun. 🙂
Thanks for looking. High fives friends!
