Texas session #3 out of 8. π
Remember Madison and Jackson??? Of COURSE you do!!! Remember the session with the two adorable kids with the red and blue umbrellas? In the field? YES YES YES! THATTTT ONE! See, told you you’d remember!
Let me tell you… this family is special to us.Β There was an instant connection… and I knew they’d always be in our lives. Sandy, their amazing mother (who reminds me SO much of my own… both in looks and personality) has stayed in touch keeping us in the loop about all things jackson+madison π She’s also said, many times, that it was time for her to be IN the photos… and that she wouldn’t settle for anyone else taking them.Β Talk about pressure!Β Photographing/seeing this family was what really clinched the deal on making the trip to Texas.
Enough outta me… on with the photos.
Β
INTRODUCING…. SANDY!!!!! OHHHH how I flipping adore this family!
Uhm… are you KIDDING ME?! Has all of this happened in just TWO SHORT YEARS?! You’re so grown up! But… let’s be real… they’re still the same weirdos they were then… just a few inches taller π
SEE?! Doesn’t she look just a bit like my mom? I mean, in terms of likeness… she’s not twin status like Alexis from yesterday… but maybe second cousin-ish?
Hey blog readers, when you were 13/14… did you look like this?! Madison and Jackson… you wereΒ obviously born in pretty-ville.Β Us, we were living that age in awkward city!Β
Love.
Uhm… that photo on the right?! Don’t you wish you had that photo of you with YOUR mom when you were thirteen?! Maddie, please frame this and hang it in your room, k? k.
I wonnnnnder where they get allllll of that personality?! I asked them to walk… and in the midst of their walking they randomly did THIS!

Sometimes when I’m shooting I turn into karate kid meets J-Lo.
my best Cousin Itt. π When I was a kid I had REEEEEEALLY long hair (past the bottom of my butt… yeah, INTENSE!), and I could do this much better… but, not to worry… It seems haven’t lost my touch entirely. πΒ The key is pushing your arms forward so it looks like you’re standing backwards.Β …Unless you’re a grown up and have grown up girl parts… that’ll give you away EVERY time!

PS. yes I’m wearing the same shirt as I was wearing for the session I blogged yesterday π That’s because we photographed both sessions on the same day. π
Oh my goodness! I love these. That one with Madison and Jackson on the swing is crazy good. I totally wish I looked like that at that age. What a fun family.
AHHH! You were here and I didn’t get to see you guys! HA! I mean.. its not like you were busy or anything π Marta took the words from me! THese are fab …but that swing show..A-MA-ZING!
Oh my, you two did it again! Took my breath away and won my un-ending gratitude all in the same second. As always, your energy brings forth the best in your subjects. Me, Jack and Maddie were oooing and ahhhing at every one and remembering that beautiful day. They miss you already and said we should move all those other states out of the way so y’all can be closer to Texas. My heart is and forever will be yours, Bobbi and Mike. Thank you for these treasures.
love, love, LOVE these!!!
I had to comment because #22 is my favorite number. Plus, your red hair rocks as always!
Wow! They have SO grown up a lot in the past two years…dang. I love these shots! And I had a fun Mom like that, too–they’re very lucky!!
awesome session! i especially like the photo on the hood of the bus…
Wow! You’re right, I think I hit my awkward stage at 10 and it lasted for at least 6 years! π I definitely wish I had some photos like this at that time in my life tho
And What a Beautiful family!! Well done B&M π
The shoulder to shoulder swing one of the two of them is absolutely gorgeous!! The lighting and they’re purdy faces π perfection. Looks like you had an awesome day!!
ADORABLE!!! These kiddos are so cute and that umbrella session of theirs has ALWAYS been one of my faves of yours!!
I was wishing I had shots like this of me at that age, but really, I’ve changed my mind. I was a giant DORK at 13. Big ‘ol glasses and a PERM. So yeah, I’ll just say I wish I had photos of me at that age looking this cool!
Love this session, but I also love to see how much you have improved in two years! π AMAZING!
Oh I wish I had these photos with my mom at that age, even though I was a giant dork. Makes me resolve to do more with my own kids of just us just being us:) These are perfect, and I am glad mom decided to join in, she is beautiful!
Love the violin shot! Great depth of field.
AGAIN…too much to love!!! They have grown up soo much. I’m going to freak when I see my kids get this big!! Love these pictures Bobbi+Mike Great GREAT GREAT job. π
On a side note – kuddos to the mom for raising such loveing kids. I hope my kids love each other that much at that age. π
xoxoxoxo
You’re posting too fast bobbi I can’t keep up!!! And wow if only right?! We won’t even discuss what this would have looked like when I was 14 lol….although you two would probably make it work π The only pictures we had taken were the ones at school and they are definitely interesting (god awful) to say the least. Love it.
I was Cousin Itt for Halloween when I was 7 or 8! We totally got some “fur” meant for a throw rug, then cut out a hole for my face, and hot glued a plastic top hat on top. Too funny!
Love the shot with the kids + chain + beautiful light streaming in. It says “we’re tough but sweet.” π Also, the b&w with the SCHOOL BUS! π
Um, i love these. families are the coolest. π
ohhhhhhhhh, that image of the kids on the swing. BREATH-FREAKING-TAKING. honestly, just gorgeous! i love them all (including your friend, cousin it).
I’ve been a blog stalker for awhile now but just HAD to post because I live in Georgetown, Tx! Couldn’t believe what I was reading! I would have died if I ran into ya’ll somewhere!! Love your work.
Beautiful photos, beautiful family!
LOVE these kids!!!!!!!!!
They are beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!
That is Momba 2.0!!!!
Is it just me, or does Maddie look like a young Jessica Claire? That picture of her by herself looks like they could be twins! Love the pics, as always!
love this blog of this family… the lighting is divine and i am pretty sure those kiddos should find their own agent or something! π
