For those who are new to the bbmk blog this year… I’d like to formally introduce you all to our holiday card! We’ve been creating these since 2003, the year we got married. That year the card read, “Married Christmas!” I know… OH so witty! π We’ve been trying to turn the creativity notch up every year since then.
So, before I show you 2011’s card, let’s make a quick trip down memory lane… here are the last three years…
My personal favorite. I thought we’d never top this. Β This was the first year I altered the bobbi+mike logo on the back to match the theme. I’ve been doing it since. π
Mike’s all-time favorite… our Awkward Family Photo. π
Without further ado… Our holiday card, 2011! π…the year that our holiday card almost caused an accident! Β You see, we were shooting in front of our home (self timer style) when a gawker swerved into the oncoming lane… SCREEEECH, HONNNNNNNNK, WHOA!!!!!!!
Though, if I had seen this scene happening I’d probably stare too… ESPECIALLY with me running back and forth in a dress that was WAY too long (I fell twice!), while a reflector hoisted to a light stand kept flying away (it was SOOOO windy)! If only we’d had video of this. I’m telling you we looked like a live British comedy show!
Oh, by the way… many people said that they thought we looked super skinny… it’s an illusion. Β I stretched the photo so that it looked more like theΒ original.Β π
Merry Everything friends! π
Much love,
~bobbi+mike

I love all your posts, but these cards are awesome! I was sharing the awkward family photo one with my cousins a few weeks ago. They thought it was hilarious. We then thought we should try to do one with all of the cousins on my dad’s side. Also, I want to steal the “Married Christmas” for this coming Christmas, as I’m getting married in September. You’re so creative! Hope your holidays were wonderful!

I saw Pat for the first time when she spoke at Whitney’s funeral, the sencod time when she and the family were interviewed by Oprah. I have not seen or read anything about her since then or read anything about her before Whitney’s death. Pat appears far from stupid. Many of us I believe never knew of her before Whitney’s death. Why then would someone well into their 40βs suddenly want fame at a time when it looks the worst in an opportunistic greedy sort of way when she could have had it legitimately when Whit was alive? It just doesnβt make common sense. I wonder if somewhere-someone is not getting their facts straight. From O’s interview, from what I saw, I believed her to be in mourning over Whitney’s death, and protective & supportive of Bobbie Kris. If fame is what she seeks she could have had it before her death and the finances by stepping in-in a very public way taking over Bobbi Krisβs care, sourcing stories and hitting the talk show circuits. We saw none of this. But of course that route would have been more obvious. Her personality does not scream fame-seeker to me so I will just have to watch the show to get more of a feel of her intentions (letβs hope they are fair w/editing) because right now none of this is making any sense to me.Thanks!Lannette
