These two live in a small town in Indiana and wanted their photos to reflect that. It was SO fun to explore the area and find some really amazing locations.
Nicole… your eyes are BEAUTIFUL!
They actually live on a lake… this is their dock. 🙂 Behind them you'll see some construction style barriers…. that's because the Indiana flood of 08 nearly destroyed that bridge.
Had a little fun with the processing of this one…
LOVE LOVE LOVE!
And ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS OLD BARN?!?!?!!!?!?! 🙂 FAVORITE! :!:+ ❓
Hey, it's Indiana… and what better to represent Indiana?! CORN! I've been DYING to do a photo shoot amongst corn… yes yes yes, I would say that Indiana is really beginning to take me over. (I'm from Kansas City, Mo)
Okay, yes… I have more than one favorite. Leave me alone ❗
Back for more corn… I couldn't resist. 😀
HOPE, Ind. EVERY TIME we drive through a small town we feel so incredibly inspired by the surroundings… old fences, well used farm equipment, run down barns, lots and lots of corn, and plenty of rustic goodness.
I knew that THAT was exactly the kind of place that Nicole and Brent lived and we couldn't wait to head there and attack them with our 5Ds. Okay… that's kind of extreme… but whatever…
These two have been married for a couple of years and had never had an engagement session… After Nicole's friend Jacquie and her husband Abe had photos done by us last year… the immediately signed up. 🙂 I love that more and more couples are requesting photo sessions after they've been married… Sometimes I think that people only think that they can have family photos done if they have kids… no no no… not the case 🙂 So, JUST DO IT!
Nicole and Brent… thanks SO much for introducing us to Hope, Indiana 🙂
LOVE!

The corn pictures are great! Did anyone get in the water for the pictures of them on the dock? If so, who did and wasn’t it cold? Great job as always! Love you both!
Rachel,
I love my clients… but I don’t love hypothermia 🙂 I stood on their neighbors dock 😀
❗
wow…this session was awesome. just when i thought i had a favorite, another popped up. great job!
these are awesome! as much as i love me some clean lines, modern buildings and symmetry…i can flip it up and drool over rustic old stuff. i love seeing old dilapidated barns filled with stuff, it makes me want to go in and rummage through the dusty old treasures within. 🙂
oh. wait…back to the photos. these are awesome (did i say that?) and I think its so cool that they chose a personal place to have their photos taken. how cute is the photo on their dock? My favorite is probably #1 with the weeds and red fence…or the corn ones, those rock.
p.s. mike you are the cuteness…that last one cracks me up! 🙂

My friend Olivia, a photog in the Twin Cities turned me on to your site and I love it! You two are amazing and I’m sure all who have a chance to meet and work with you are blessed!
Oooo, that corn field looks so great! I’ve always wanted to shoot in one too. That and water…we don’t have much here in Colorado. Oh, and I wanted to say that thanks to your firery red hair, you indirectly inspired me to do something to my hair. I love it now, so thank you even though you had NO idea! Isn’t cyber-world fun like that?
Can I tell you how much I love that you not only capture the people, but the essence of who they are and where they are from – just beautiful!
Awesome session! Love it!

Hello You two,
You are so good at picking out locations. I absolutely love the old barn shot. The windmill photo is too cool. It makes me think of Papa. Great work.
