your watermark is PERFECT…your photo sizes are perfect…and everything else about your blog is pretty near perfect. your problem is that you are an artist, a creator. we get bored easily. trust me. i hate my blog and have been thinking over all the same things, but I always think, “welllll Bobbi’s blog is like this.” 🙂

whatever changes you make will be brilliant, and will be pleasing to you….for a time. 🙂

I love your blog just the way it is! I may not be a graphic designer or an artist, but the marketer in me sees that your blog is visually appealing, simple yet compelling, easy to follow and gorgeous, all while pulling in your brand identity and personalities. In my humble opinion, the new watermark and larger photos could work, but I think the side-by-side photos compete with one another. You lose the pure beauty that the image has while standing on its own.

You guys are genius though and I trust your judgment completely! BTW — I’ve hopped on the healthy train! Haven’t had my first weigh-in yet but I want to lose the six pounds I’ve put on in the last year or so. Thanks for motivating me!

I like it the way it is.. but i can also understand wanting to keep things fresh.. I agree tho.. not sure the two photo post is working for you. I have looked at it three times and still couldn’t tell you what the photos are. .mmm fourth time. OK .. focussed on both and now i see them, but still not the same as when i view your stuff separately… your images are intense and rich and layered.. they are have texture and depth… i notice the two photo thing works best on..either similar photos or more minimalist images…Whatever you decide will be fabulous tho…. such a great brand!!

I think you are all so right…. bigger photos maybe… but the side-by-side thing may not be best for our style of photography. 🙂 I SO appreciate your honesty!!!!!!!

Definitely bigger pictures…at least up it to 800px (but they truly deserve 900px minimum :))! I don’t think you need the side-by-side (not that it’s bad; but if you do I’d say to make the spread in PS so its a composition, and only has one watermark…) But seriously, just keep doing what you’re doing! 🙂

I love your blog the way it is also!! Everything about your blog is so great — the colors, the size pictures, the watermark, etc. Your blog is what I kept in mind when I recently redesigned my own blog. 😀

But of course, if you end up redesigning it, I know it will be another awesome blog. 😀

side by side images didn’t show up as such in my feedreader, so I didn’t even get ’em until I actually came to the site.
They look okay, but work best when the pics are related. Like, keep the one on the left, and put one on the right that is of the same set up, but maybe a different angle or a closer crop. just my 2 cents.

oh, and if you are bored, you are more then welcome to help me brainstorm new logo/blog design ideas! I can use all the help I can get!

Your logo is perfect, don’t touch that!! I do like the little bit of teal you use every now and then, you could incorperate that more and agree that the pictures would be nice bigger so you can see them in all their glory:o)

Ditto on loving your blog just the way it is! I love the dark background–the way I can see the best part–the photos! I think if you change your little bobbi&mike logo I might freak out.

Hi all… and thanks SO much for all of your feedback!

I have a friend named Michael (who isn’t my husband) and he said to me… Bobbi, you have SO much restless energy and if you don’t have a big project that you’re currently undertaking, you CREATE a need for one. OH HOW TRUE THAT IS! I’ve never been called out for it… but I suppose it’s true.

As far as changes go… here’s what I’ve concluded based on all of your feedback and some of my own ideas 🙂

1. photos 100 pixels wider
2. NEW header images
3. The orange text needs to not look so red

ANNNNND… that’s it. So really… not many things will be changing.

I love it … like everyone else, but if ANYTHING … maybe a different color scheme with the orange?? But I don’t like HUGE pics because you can’t see the whole thing sometimes without having to scroll down … so that’s my 2 cents … oh and love your watermark, don’t change! 🙂
