My solution for when I’m low on time for wedding day portraits: just walk around the block!* ANY block will do (I mean, unless you’re getting married in a woodsy area, duh). I think you can find amazingness on every block, you’ve just gotta look for it.

That’s exaaaactly what we did this day! Now mind you, it WAS New Orleans so I had a bit more than usual to work with than my usual “walk the block” move, but nonetheless… it hasn’t failed me yet! 😀

So I photographed Meredith’s sister Hillary’s incredibly sweet wedding in 2015. Wellllll… Hillary had a baby just a couple of weeks before Meredith’s wedding so she couldn’t be there. Hillary, I certainly hope that these images make you feel like you were there. 🙂

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Meredith: So many fun memories… While getting ready at the Roosevelt hotel suite, my bridesmaids and I danced on the chairs like we were kids, except we had champagne instead of juice boxes. Another favorite memory was running around the streets of New Orleans with Bobbi trying to capture the perfect picture.

David: First dance with my new wife

Any advice for future bride/grooms?

Meredith: Stop and break for pictures. The day flies by and the only thing left at the end are the fabulous pictures.

David: Sit back, relax, and have a drink

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

Meredith: When my bustle tore and my amazing photographer sewed my dress for me. #bestphotographerever
