Ever see a photo of someone and want to give them a hug? That’s how I feel about the guy who gives the shaves at Red’s Barber Shop… I haven’t met him as Mike is always the one who photos the guys getting ready… but I just know I adore him. So, to any of you out there who actually DO know this guy, give him a hug from bobbi, k? k.
I love Marie! I love her dress! ๐ Oh, and I love window light, too ๐
…something blue! There was not ONE detail that didn’t have serious thought put into. EEEKS! I ended that with a preposition… Let me try again. There wasn’t ONE detail that didn’t have significant meaning. Yeah… that sounded better… but still awkward. Oh well. You get what I’m saying, right?!
Coming from a bride who had a bouquet of red roses herself… I LOOOOVED all of the red details!!!! How cool are those leaves wrapping around the bouquet?
My FAMOUS hilarious jokes ๐
OHHHH JAY! You are SO damn CUTE!
Marie’s engagement ring. I just learned that her diamond was Jay’s grandmothers reset into a custom setting.
This photo gives me goosebumps… it was such an awesome moment.
Right before the ceremony, for a split second… Marie’s dad leaned his head on Marie’s… didn’t say a word… but that gesture was all that was needed to tell her everything he needed to say.
This makes me laugh. ๐ Some trivia: ๐ The girl standing next to Jay… that’s Jessica, his sister ๐ We photographed her, along with her husband Ken, 3 years ago in our first ever “trash the dress” session. ๐ I’m SUCH a fan of those two. They will forever and ever be in the bb+mk family. ๐
MEEEEEEEET TAYLOR… the bestdog ๐ How stinking cute is this?!
AYKM WITH THAT LIGHT???!? AHHHHH!!!! SPRING IS HEEEEEERE!!! My view.
Mike’s view… and his favorite โ
๐
I know what you’re thinking… “why fire socks?!” Marie gave them to him right before the walk down the aisle with a note attached, “these are so that you don’t get cold feet.” On that note… GROOMS… personalize your look with fun socks/your own shoes/an interesting tie/etc. Turn your rented tux into something that’s more you ๐
I can’t get over how gorgeous you two are!
…Marie’s mom during Dad’s speech…
The first dance. And yes… I’m so predictable… this is my favorite โ

What was your favorite moment?
All our favorite moments are totally cliche, you know the first moment, toasts blah blah blah. However I (Marie) did love Jay’s dance before the garter toss. Jay loved finally seeing what his gifts were from me. I bought them a loooooong time ago and they were sitting in the bedroom so he was being teased by them for awhile. You should know we are not very patient people.
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Forget about your dream of a big wedding, pack up bobbi+mike and head to a tropical island with a small group of friends and family. Being around only your closest friends and family will make your day less stressful and so much fun.
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Marie covered her dinner so that she could enjoy it after she got into her more relaxed reception dress. While on the dance floor, we noticed one of the groomsmen ate Marie’s entire dinner. He approached the table and looked around… then took just a small bite…. then another. After that, he just took a seat in her chair and polished off her whole plate.
Would you change anything?
Of course not!
What was your favorite wedding purchase?
We bought a brand new computer just so we could make the DVD slideshow shown during cocktail hour.

What was our favorite part of the day?
bobbi: I LOVED all of the red details, Marie’s gorgeous dress and Jay’s sweet smile. I also really enjoyed the portrait session time of just the two of you. The light was MONEY and you guys gave us plenty of time to make it happen. BOOOOYA!
mike: I’ve seen plenty of neat gifts for grooms, but Jay takes the cake for wedding swag!ย New sunglasses, cologne, socks with huge flames (ostensibly to prevent cold feet), shirts for the honeymoon, AND a bottle of Blue Label Johnnie Walker. Sign me up.ย Maybe for my tenth anniversary…
MUCH LOVE!

They’re all looking at me like I’m crazy. Maybe I am. Oh well, the resulting shot’s fun… SO BOOOOOYA NAYSAYERS!!!! ๐

Those shoes (and shoe shot) are SEXY!
PS You are a genius how your comments are in orange. Girl, you make me want to copy you you are too dang good. ; ) BUt I try to resist. (Hee hee!)
You make this all look WAYYYYY too easy. Great job you two (especially with making shots work on the Circle with some harsh light). LOVEEEE the red accents. Those shoes are gorgeous!
Once again! I mean I feel like i’m so repetitive w/ the “you’re awesome” comments..but you’re awesome!
Amazing pictures! Love all the red details!
Stunning! Love the shoes and red details too! My faves are the portraits of the bride and groom, gorgeous smiles and just so sweet and beautiful. Hooray for spring light!
Beautiful, beautiful couple!! And gorgeous photos, as always!! Also love the mobile setup of the blog!! How do I get mine to do that?
Laura, it’s a wordpress plugin. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wptouch/
BTW Gail, thanks for the shout out on the harsh light… not gonna lie… was proud of that ๐
As I recall, when Josh was asked why he was eating Marie’s food, all he could muster was, “I’m a pilot. I can fly.”
Awesome pictures. Can’t wait to see the full set. That was a really fun day. I especially enjoyed the groomsmen keeping with the red details and having Hot Damn to nip on. Keeping it classy fellas.
Seriously ….. Adorable! Love it!!
Bobbi,
You doing the splits in the last pic? ๐
Great work.
Thanks for doing fantastic works of art. My fav is the one with Marie and her Daddy. I hated missing out on seeing that moment and am glad you captured it for me. He loves her so much and was really struggling to hold it all together. Then on a lighter side, I love the reception one with the Hilton boys gettin low on the dance floor & the ‘lil guy who caught the garter bustin a move in the background. Marie and Jay are gonna make me some of the cutest Grandbabies aren’t they??!
Jenny, nope ๐ I wish I could do the splits! I’m kind of sitting like a cheerleader… and then leaned all the way over. ๐ Make sense
WOWZA….what a freakin hot topic couple! I LOVE the flame socks and red shoes!! Bobbi + Mike you are awesome as usual. You have such a way of capturing personality! Can’t wait to see you in 2 weeks!!!!!!
The guys over at Red’s are awesome. ๐ Favorite shot, typical for me, has to be the family reaction during the speech. Love seeing people choked up.
fabulous shots! Beautiful couple, but when aren’t they?! ๐
Gorgeous as always!! I always get sooo homesick for Indy when I see your fab downtown shots!

Annie, those shoes SCREAM you!!!!! ๐ ๐ You MUST buy them!!! ๐
Hard to pick a favorite. I look forward to your post every week, as if your pics could get any better…these are the bomb! The shoes, the socks, the red..and yes that teddy bear guy giving the shave…he does look pretty hugable!
AMAZING details. Amazing photography. They look super hot in those!!!
As for the ones you caught of each other – Mikey – you look totally hot running down that sidewalk. ๐
Bobbi – I love how no matter what position you are in – you get the shot. I like to say I do the same. You are so stinkin cute it’s overwhelming.
So sick, guys – and the new look/blog ideas are really kicking ass. I think you’ve taken a great blog and given your posts even more real re-visit value. Radness.

Hey Bobbi & Mikey,
WOW……. What a beautiful wedding. My favorite photo has to be the last color picture of Marie and Jay snuggling close. Although the “Best Dog” with the Bride and Groom warms my heart. Great job.
Love you both,
