A wedding in Gaylord, Michigan?! (top of the mitten!) YOU BETCHYA!
A tip from Scott… if you’ve never tied a bowtie before… and you’re planning on wearing one on the day of your wedding… learn how to tie it before your wedding day. 🙂 I’m paraphrasing of course… but you get the idea. 🙂
Mandy you have a TINY waist! Color me jealous…
It. Was. Freeeeezinnnnng! I cannot tell a lie… I shot all of the wedding party pics LIKE A BOSS! …like a fast boss… 😉 This wedding party handled it like CHAMPS! (well, the ARE from northern MI…)
Accompanying the wind chill in the 20’s was some hit and miss rain all day… so they moved their ceremony and their arch to under a tent.
HUDLER!!!!! Side note: Mandy, you were the definition of radiant that day.

This pile of logs was at Mandy’s mom’s home… isn’t it cool?!
Have I mentioned how envious I am of Mandy’s tiny waist?! AHHHH!!!! 
And this spot!? Mike and I found it the morning of their wedding when taking a wrong turn to their ceremony and reception site. So they hopped in our Jeep after their ceremony and made it happen. 🙂

A caricature artist at the reception… we’ve seen this twice this year and both times it was quite the hit.
I heard that Mandy was a fan of Britney Spears… I made a special request of the DJ. You guys know I LOVE ME SOME BRITNEY!!!! Side note: To my wedding photographer friends… I’ve been wearing the exact same shoes since 2008… I buy a new pair every April. They’re kind of ugly but they’re SUPER comfortable!

[br]What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Mandy: Waking up early to get coffee and doughnuts with Scott- it was just us. And dancing with my Dad and watching every grown man in my family cry. Good stuff.
Scott: Seeing her come down the aisle. The sheer panic I had with only a couple minutes until the wedding and still trying to tie my bowtie!
[br] Any advice for future bride/grooms?
Mandy: Just relax. Enjoy every moment, and carve out time for you and your spouse to be alone for a bit.
Scott: You won’t have time for everything, so enjoy what you can.
[br]Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Mandy: There were SO many: any moment dancing! We had fantastic guests (and photographers) helping us destroy that dance floor! My older brothers skinny-dipping in the (almost frozen) lake, or having pie fights after the reception ended, or forgetting the rings in my room before the ceremony!
Scott: Probably forgetting the rings.
[br]If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Mandy: The only thing I would change would be hiring a videographer. We didn’t, and I regret it.
[br]Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We spent one week in Australia and one week in New Zealand!

Hudler jumped up on Mandy after running through poop… he just happened to jump up on her chest… sooooo uhmmmmm…. yeahhhh… a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do… 
We supplied the photo booth… they supplied the props…. 🙂

Ha! I tried I tell my husband to practice his bow tie tying before the wedding too, you saw how THAT turned out! That show shot is so pretty! I’m obsessed w her dress and her teeny waist!! Her dress is straight out of a fairy tale and that black and white of her putting it on is perfect. I love all of the fall color and the pops of purple against it. It’s hard to choose (isn’t it always?), but I think the black and white in front of the wood pile is my favorite. Great job, bbmk!
