Katie: My favorite moment of the day/my life was during the ceremony–that split second right before I started my walk down the aisle. Both on either side of me, my mom and dad held my hand. I saw a sea of Matt and I’s family and friends’ faces smiling back at me, and then the BEST part: at the end of the aisle, Matt’s beautifully ecstatic gaze met mine. It was the loveliest and most touching moment I’ve ever had.

Matt: The reception was my favorite part of the day: Great food, drinks and even better company. But if I had to choose a specific moment, it was during the speeches. It was a touching moment filled with so many laughs and toasts that Katie and I shared, listening to the humorous, yet heartwarming, speeches that Katie’s Dad, Sister and My Best Men, Chip and Andrew, gave.

Katie:  My best advice to future brides: just CHILL :). The morning of our wedding, countless little hiccups occurred (AHEM, like Matt not having cuff-links, to name one haha), and though those bumps in the road stressed-out others, I made a conscious effort to just shrug it off my shoulders and stay calm. Because, ultimately, absolutely no one will know what’s gone wrong but will notice a very tense and worried-looking bride. Plus, focussing on the only reason I was there in the first place–to marry Matt–gave me the ability to soak up every moment AND enjoy it!

Matt: Advice to future grooms: Whatever your future wife asks of you, do it. So when she says to go get cuff links, you should go get them.

Katie:  My bridesmaid Lauren (“LaLa”) diving under my dress on the dance floor….and seemed as if she knocked herself unconscious because she wasn’t moving for a second…she was fine, just couldn’t figure out how to escape the tulle entrapment.

Matt: My Father-in-Law’s Carnac the Magnificent (Johnny Carson Show) half-item show during the reception. He has a great sense of humor and his comedic performance did not disappoint.

Katie & Matt:  Nothing–it was perfect.
