Hey Interwebs, I’d like to introduce you to my dear friend and one of my favorite brides in the whole wide world, Jessica. 🙂

Jess is so unbelievably special to me. I’m crying even thinking about it. No really, I am. I seriously just selfied it on the snapchat. Right when Megan and I showed up that morning to shoot the “getting ready” (she already knew about my ummm… “situation” because I photographed her engagement session ummm… Mike-less)… she started crying! Her mom exclaimed, “That’s the first time she’s cried today!”

Jess replied, “It’s real now, Bobbi is here.” I’ve had that happen a handful of times in my past (which is so unbelievably humbling!)… but back then it was when I was still, ahemmm…. yeah, that… so for her to still be so excited… downright emotional… knowing that she wasn’t getting exaaaactly what she thought she’d signed up for… well, DAMN it filled up my love tank big time!

Ohhhh Jess, you’re one in a million! Thank you for being you. 🙂

On the right that’s Chris’ identical twin brother Brian. Confession: I’m kiiiiind of obsessed with identical twins. 😉

First look. Jess’ parent’s home. It was raining. She didn’t care. I love brides like this. 😀 I mean, love!

This wedding party was the definition of fun. 😀

The ceremony was originally planned to be outdoors. However, it was unseasonably cold so they moved it indoors.

My signature move: sneaking up behind the wedding party during vows. It’s one of they verrrrry few benefits of being short… I am much less noticeable hiding behind people. Hey, I’ll take what I can get!

HIIIII JENNNN! So this incredible woman (also one of the maid of honors) had just unexpectedly given premature birth to TWINNNNNS a few days before the wedding! WHAAAAT?! Mmm hmmm… she was even still wearing her two hospital bracelets.

I’m fascinated by families and genetics. From left to right. Chris’ maternal grandmother, mom, nephew and dad. Notice they’re all making the exact same expression?! But dad?! DAD? DAAAAD!!!?!?! Dad, you melt me.

Right after “kiss the bride,” they thanked their friend who officiated.

The best men’s toast. 🙂

The bride’s parents on the left. WE JUST ADORED YOU TWO!!!!! Jeri (mom) told me their love story, and if you ever get to meet her, you must ask her about it! It’s a Notebook kinda story! Anyway… they, along with their entire family, were so incredibly kind to Megan and I. We can’t thank you all enough for being so perfectly you. 😀

Soon after the party dancing started, the groomsmen headed out for a cigar. I was inside shooting and Megan followed them out. When she came back in and showed me the back of her camera I about flipppppped OUT! SHE SOOOO NAAAAAILED THISSSSS!!!!!! Here’s the groom with his two brothers. 🙂

What they said

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Jessica: I would have to say looking into Chris’s eyes during the ceremony is a moment I will never forget. I also didn’t realize how much the first couple of years we dated meant to Chris while he was going through school and a change in occupation until Chandler (our officiant) shared some memories during the ceremony. It was really special.

Chris: Before the “First Look”, I reflected on how much we have shared together from the time we met until the ultimate moment that we were about to experience in saying “I do”. This reinsured what I knew from well before I proposed that she is the one I want as my partner in life. Then after she tapped my shoulder she was even more beautiful than I could’ve imagined.

Any advice for future bride/grooms?

Jessica: Enjoy and appreciate every moment and detail from the moment you start getting ready for the day with your bridal party to the very end of the evening! Don’t sweat the small stuff and just have fun with everyone who attends to celebrate your love!

Chris: Choose an activity a little less strenuous than full court basketball to play before the wedding because for awhile I was TIRED. Also, if you are going out to smoke a celebratory cigar with friends do not take 45 or so minutes to do it during the reception because your bride and the rest of the gathering will look to you to inject some energy onto the dance floor.

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

Jessica: When Brian and Steven did their best men speech. Until this day Chris loves his spider plants and they were able to fit that in the speech. It was very creative and funny!

Chris: The best men’s speech, they really grilled me.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Jessica: No way! I loved every moment of the day and evening! We had such a blast with family and friends, loved the food, music, hair, makeup, decorations, flowers, and LOVED my dress! It was a dream come true to have Bobbi as our photographer too! 🙂

Chris: I would’ve planned some of the dances out instead of winging it. Other than that the ceremony and reception were perfect.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Cancun, Mexico
