What they saidWhat was the most memorable moment of your day?
Jesse: While the whole day was fantastic and beyond my dreams, one of my most memorable moments was when I was waiting to walk down the aisle with my Dad. The anticipation was indescribable! I didn’t get nervous until I heard the first notes of the music and my bridesmaids began walking down the aisle. But when the Cathedral doors opened and I saw Alex standing in front of the alter, my nerves disappeared and I felt giddy with happiness. I was just so excited to get to Alex and for us to finally become husband and wife.
Alex: Seeing Jesse for the first time is tattooed in my memory. She was glowing when she walked into the church, like an angel. It was a dream come true for me and that moment, when everything began, is what I’ll remember most from that day.
Jesse: When your wedding day finally arrives, it literally flies by in the blink of an eye. All of the planning, stress, money, and time put in over the entire year comes and goes in a flash the day of your wedding, so try to enjoy the whole process. If possible, hire a day-of coordinator so that you are able to truly take little moments throughout the wedding day to savor everything—the emotion, the sights, the smells, the sounds. At times, you’ll be stressed and overwhelmed, but just enjoy the entire engagement and planning period, because when it’s all over, you’ll miss it and want to do it all over again!
Alex: Don’t stress afterwards about the people you didn’t get to talk to during the reception. Everyone is there to celebrate with you and your family, so just relax and have fun.
Jesse: There were so many! But if I had to choose, deciding to build a human wedding pyramid and pretty much any moment dancing would top the list. Our family and guests tore up the dance floor! And dancing on stage with Alex and the band was so fun! I felt like a rock star up there and my abs and legs were so sore the next day.
Alex: My funniest moment was when the priest stopped his homily mid-sentence, distracted by my socks. Jesse had given me American Flag socks for the wedding day and were visible when we were sitting listening to the homily. Father Gary looked over during one of the points he was making, stopped, and asked me what in the world I was wearing and couldn’t believe my new wife would allow such socks! 🙂
Jesse: If we could do it all over, I would make sure we actually ate some of our wedding cake. But other than that, I wouldn’t have changed one thing! It truly was perfect and I felt like I was living a real-life fairy tale. The venues were elegant, the entire bridal party looked stunning, the music during the ceremony and the band at the reception were out of this world, the food was scrumptious, and the floral arrangements were dazzling! I just wish that I could have learnt how to warp time to make the day go by slower!
Alex: I’d make sure Jesse and I could have gotten a first look at the ballroom. This was something we were supposed to have been able to do, but weren’t. It would have been a very nice memory to have seen everything set-up before the guests sat down.

I was the official Wedding Crasher and I’m glad I was sorta invited cause I would not have missed the most beautiful wedding of the year for anything. Every detail was attended to. Advice to the newly weds would be to go back to these photos often to remember how happy you were on this your wedding day. I wish you much happiness for the rest of your lives together.
