Usually graffiti consists of bad words, naughty drawings, disturbing images or weird letters (and no one really knows what it means.)  How lucky were we with the “I LOVE YOU”

While we were under this bridge, we ran into a professor who goes there to “gather his thoughts”  He recited a lovely poem that he wrote.  Pretty cool if you ask me.

Mikey’s favorite ❓

As I was editing this session there was a song that kept popping into my head.  “Tonight, Tonight” by the Smashing Pumpkins.  :)  Not sure why… just listen to it and maybe you’ll understand.

HOW COOL IS THIS?!  He’s riding with her on the front.  I said, “JENNIFER?! Aren’t you afraid he might run into something?!?”  All the while she appeared totally at ease with a huge smile on her face.  Her response, “He loves me too much to let me get hurt.”  She’s right.

My version.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. Talk about two people so infatuated with each other that it pours off of them at every second…  They couldn’t keep their eyes and hands off of each other.  They were naturals at getting their photo taken because we’d get to a spot… I’d say, “This spot is perfect.”  I would start adjusting my settings and look up… and they were snuggled in tight ready for the photo.  It was awesome :D  I mentioned that being around them was really a powerful thing.  They responded that in the five years they’ve been together, they’ve only been apart for one weekend.  Wow.

So, the weathermen were wrong when it came to this session.  It was supposed to have quit raining by the time we got to Lafayette.  And according to the radar… that seemed to be the case.  However, to our dismay…. IT RAINED THE ENTIIIIIIIIIRE EVENING!!!! We found a couple of bridges but after a while… we decided to just go for it.   Mikey and I took turns holding the umbrella for one another.  We made it work.  But more importantly… THEY WORKED IT OUTTTTTTT!!!!!  Never once did they complain about the rain.  I don’t think we could have had a more perfect “rain session.” They embraced it.  ☺  We got a little creative with the light.  ☺   Hey, it was fun!

Thanks you two for rolling with the punches, we think the photos are the bomb diggidy.  (Mikey told me to say that… he’s such a dork, but that’s why I love him!).

Love,
