What they saidHow they met
Jayleen called James to see if he wanted to be a teammate on a student reduced gravity experiment and fly “weightless” on the Vomit Comet, aka NASA’s KC-135 reduced gravity aircraft, while they were cooperative education students at NASA. Everything was platonic during the design-build-test-fly opportunity and James just happened to have an extra Dave Matthews Band ticket for the night of our flight day and asked Jayleen to go with. Eight years later and they walked down the aisle on their flight date and the anniversary of Apollo 11’s launch.
