Hey team 🙂
I'll be the first to admit that it's been a rough couple of weeks… last week I maintained and then this week I gained a pound. Argh.
I sorta had an emotional break down this morning…. as in, sobbing style. Yes, I'm dramatic.
It's just beginning to take a little toll on me… you know… to continue admitting a weekly failure. Sure, every three weeks or so I have good news… but, it's just happening OH SO slowly.
I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer… I'm just really bummin'. I hope you understand.
Do you guys mind if we take a month off from reporting here? I'm going to continue on our healthy train… and I expect you all to do the same. We'll just have a month to work at it instead of the usual week. 😀 THAT WAY…. we're not reporting little losses… we'll have FOUR WEEKS to try to impress each other 🙂 Sound good? Sound motivating? Does to me! Let's all meet up here again on April 10th 🙂
Because some people need accountability, you're more than welcome to keep coming back to this entry and reporting your loss every Friday in the comment section. I'll still be keeping up my dorky little Excel list to keep track of all of you 😀 ENTIRELY up to you!
And because a post isn't a post without a picture… Here's something COMPLETELY off topic 🙂
I found my very first EVER bobbi branding. I think I designed this my Sophomore year of college in some design class…. 🙂 HELLOOOOO PHOTOSHOP FILTER!!!!!! I actually used this ALLLLLL over my resume… I wish I could find a copy of the complete package I used to send to potential employers. Let me break it down for you… it included a 20 page booklet of my portfolio, of course a resume… and it was enclosed with an envelope wrapped with vellum and then sealed with a wax b (just like the b you see below). Yeah, I was THAT hard core!
Thank you ALLLLLL so much for your support and encouragement… you have no idea how much I appreciate it 🙂 I know you guys keep commenting on our action shots and how "thin" I'm looking… and thank you for that 😀 It makes me feel SOOOO good!!!!!! So THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!
By the way, now is the PERRRRRRRFECTO time to join because you have a month to MAKE IT HAPPEN! Be sure to add your name down there in the comment section 🙂
See you healthy trainees on April 10th, BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!!!!!
LOVE!
~bobbi ❗
I am officially adding my name to the list. I have been thinking about it for awhile now and decided this week I was going to pony up!
Don’t get down my friend you are still going at it and that is accomplishment enough! You are funny, sweet, incredibly talented, and damn you fine Bobbi! Keep it up!
You can get own old school bobbi stuff here.

Bobbi+Mike are going to rich, if we all buy an item.
Bobbi, didn’t you mention talking to your doctor about a thyroid problem? Or am I thinking of someone else? Sorry to confuse you with someone.
It seems like sometimes it takes our body awhile to figure things out. I was eating healthy and exercising A LOT for about a month and barely lost anything. Now it’s picking up – I’ve had loses the last three weeks, 3.2 this week. It makes NO SENSE to me and it is SO FRUSTRATING to be up and down and stable… ugh. I wish that exercising and eating right just meant you would lose weigh or maintain, but it always doesn’t.
I bet in a month you’ll feel great, and be looking great 🙂
I’m officially adding my name to the list – you work out at NIFS right? I think I’ve seen you there.
Keep up the good work as your healthy train has motivated me! I haven’t lost much in the way of weight but I’ve lost inches!
Awww, Bobbi. : ) I actually just read a headline yesterday that said weekly weigh in’s weren’t the way to go. How timely because I thought of you. So you are doing the RIGHT thing!
Love seeing your old branding. I want more!
Bobbi…have you tried http://www.myfitnesspal.com, you can enter what you have eaten, how much water you have had and excersie during each day. you can set it up so it lets you know how many calories you can consume if you want to loose a certain amount of weight, and at the end of each day gives you a report that let you know if every day were like the one you just had…this is what you would weigh. it is a great way to watch what you are eating, you activity level and to help with keeping track of things. I have lost 10 pounds in about a month since using it, and i am uber excited and update it every day. let me know what you think if you sign up….oh and it’s completely FREE 🙂
kimi and i are in! it’s on like donkey kong!
I love you Bobbi.
That’s all.
Continue on 🙂
I think you are on the right move here. Since you have worked so hard and already lost a LOT, its going to move slowly now. I think the monthly weigh ins will make you feel better. And that means…if you do have a bad day, you can just punnish yourself for it endlessly too. 😛 (in the gym i mean)
im down for a check in one month from now:)
Stick with it Bobbi, a slow weight loss is the healthiest and the easiest to maintain once you’ve reached your goal weight. Be proud of yourself for being healthy! Your body thanks you 🙂 Happy Friday!
You can do it, Bobbi! Other commenters are correct, it takes your body time to get used to the fact that you are going to keep working it out, it’s like it wants to say “No, don’t keep doing this to me!” but you’re all, “I’m on the healthy train, keep your ticket!” Ok, this was cheesy, but you know what I mean? Try mixing up your workouts. I get bored doing the same ol’ routine each week. Even though I can’t cut a rug to save my life, I’ve been playing my favorite tunes and dancing like crazy in the living room, using the moves I learned at a cardio groove class, and it is such a fun workout! Before I know it, I’ve been dancing for 45 minutes or more! Variety is key to avoid workout routine burnout. (Yikes! So sorry for the long comment!)
Okay! I am joining again!! Bobbi, girl, if I can do this, so can you! I have my stats recorded and before picture taken, see you in a month!!
monthly check-in’s are definitely fine with me!
however, i would like to [finally] report a loss!! i’ve finally taken off those after xmas pounds, plus 1 additional lb. (they were so quick to come on, but a pain in the patoot-y to take off!) so, for your spreadsheet, that’s really only a 1lb loss, i think…right?
anyway, don’t stress out too much bobbi! especially since you look like a smokin’ skinny-mini in all your action shots! 🙂
Awww Bobbi! Don’t be down. Last year i was doing weight watchers and at one point i wasn’t losing more than .6 a week. It took me a month to lose 2 lbs that time! I just rejoined and I have a loss this week but I’ll keep it to myself and be ready a month from now! I know you will come back with a HUGE loss in April. Can’t wait!
I’d like to join! I’ve been following your healthy train for a long time, and actually started on my own healthy train about 6 weeks ago! I’ve lost almost 13 pounds in that time!
Thanks for doing this!
Ksenia
Don’t worry, weight loss always slows down in the middle. Everyone has to hit a plateau or you wouldn’t be human, you’d be a weight loss superhero!
You really do look great, and you’ve made a ton of progress. Don’t beat yourself up PLEASE! It makes me sad. And that never happens at Bobbi + Mike blog.
I’m happy to take a month off of reporting though. I actually stopped reporting because i gained two pounds and then have just been maintaining. So in a month I WILL have some good news to report, I swear!
Bobbi,
I love reading your blog for a number of reasons…You are clearly an incredibly talented, imaginative artist, and I love to see (and be blown away by) the work you and Mike do on a continual basis.
But more than that, I love that you are upbeat, excited, and happy about things from photographing a wedding in Mexico to the color of a bride’s shoes. You have such a spirit about you, and that really shines through in this blog. I feel like I’ve known you even though we’ve never met. I know that’s why your clients love you so much–you make them feel at ease and at home when they are trusting you with something as important as documenting one of the most monumental days of their lives.
That said, it’s wonderful that you are taking steps to be healthy and fit (Lord knows I should be doing the same!), but never let this rough task make you forget about all the beauty you possess–physically, from your bright smile and friendly, fun hair, and internally in your ability to bring light into a room and being a friend to all.
So, chin up! I know you’re trying your hardest to be healthy, and that’s the best you can be doing. So in the midst of the struggles, know that you have become a friend to many in their struggles with getting fit. And know that you have, most importantly, lit up the world around you.
Ok, I’m kinda glad you decided to do this because I just couldn’t keep up with weighing every single Friday….eek. 🙁
But I promise to weigh on Monday and then keep track of my loss from there. But don’t be discouraged, Bobbi!! You DO look Fabulous in these new action shots!!! You’re total Gorge.
Also. O.M. freakin’ G. your branding!! Soooooo fun to see!! Ah! I so wish I was that cool 😀
I’ve been there too the last few weeks. I’ve actually gained a little back. So a little while off might be just what i need to find my motivation again!
Healthy train aside (good luck, everyone)…just had to let you know you got a mention over at weddingbee.com from Mrs. Avocado…Check it out (if you haven’t seen it already):

My progress over the whole thing has been really up and down but ive been determind to stick at it and keep trying because i know so many other people are in the same boat and reading everyones comments has kept me motivated and encouraged me to keep going…thou,i totally get taking a month to build up some good news 🙂
I have to weigh in this week thou coz i lost 5 1/2lbs!!! 🙂 ..admittedly vei had a virus and didnt eat for 3days last week and im sure ill gain it all back and more next week but…u know, 5 1/2lbs!! Im now officially the lightest ive been for at least 18months and that feels good. Got the gym twice next week so im hoping i can try and keep it off.
Good Luck Bobbi,Mike & everyone else on the healthy train…see you all again in 4wks!!

A month sounds like a gtood idea. But hang in there. It is tough to have those little losses but don’t get discouraged. You have lots of us here pulling for you…
bobbi,
Don’t feel bad….I am on the right track to gain about 60 lbs of pregnancy weight like with my last 2 kids. Its so frustrating keeping tabs on that darn scale….I say we all hire some ninjas to sneak into our rooms and steal our clothes and have them tailored to make us feel like we lost weight (without all of the work).
Don’t give up though, I know you are looking smokin’ hot and I need some serious hugs at OSP INDY!
Don’t get down on yourself … YOU. ARE. AWESOME. You have done a great job so far and I’m sure you can keep it up … hang in there 🙂
I just stumbled out of bed and onto the scale knowing that i had gained 5 pounds. I’ve been so bad this week…but I lost 1.1!! That never happens! It might be a technical error, but I’ll just chalk it up to this cold I’ve had. 🙂 I completely know how you’re feeling. I get pissed too, especially when I see other people looking good. But my main source on how I feel is how my clothes are fitting. (and right now some pants are a bit snug) So I know I need to work a bit harder. But once I slide into those jeans and don’t have to shimmy and shake to get them on, then I feel awesome!! See you in a month!!
bobbi! don’t lose hope! look how many of us you’ve inspired…fo’ SHO!
i lost 1.4 pounds this week and Andy lost 2!!! WHOOO!
Hey – I’m GAME! I kind of derailed from the train a few months ago – but i’ve been trying to still keep it up on my own – just lacking on reporting in – Count me in on reporting in April 10th!!! Good Luck and Keep up the Good Work!!! You may have just hit a wall and will start losing again!! So Keep your head up!! You’re doing so good!!
Hey Bobbi! I was on the Healthy Train previously…but fell off. 🙁
I’m back now!!! I’ve got 30 lbs to lose. 🙂
bobbi, add me to the list…
I should have joined long ago!!
Bobbi…
don’t let a plateau make you lose your focus! I have so much faith in you.
Having said that, I said “thank god” when I read this topic. LOL. I’ve not been doing so well myself. I need to sit down with a plan of some sorts – which I had Weight watchers but it didn’t make me feel inspired and it was obvious on the scale, so I quit. I need a little time to figure out what I’m going to do!
Lana Cease
Ok .. adding my name here too!! 😉
I posted on the other Thread!!
Add me to the list!!
😉
I’m jumpin’ on!
