For those who follow me on Twitter/Facebook… you may have heard me mention my “5 lbs in 2 weeks” goal. For me, that’s a lot… and given my schedule the last couple of weeks, kinda dumb for me to think that I could do it.
I’m again blogging in the airplane (I’m officially OBSESSED with in-flight wifi) so, needless to say… I haven’t weighed myself yet. However, given what my weight was last I checked, it’s pretty fair to guess that I didn’t make it. 🙁
So, why did I set this goal? Because again… I’m closer than ever before to my “wedding weight”. I SOOO badly wanted to fit into my wedding dress for my 29th birthday (which is Monday).
ARGH! I should have squeezed in more work outs than I did. I’m a bit disappointed in myself 🙁
…. there’s always healthy train 5, right?! ARGH!
So, on that note, how did YOU do???? Were you able to stick to your mini goal? Me? I stuck to mine BEAUTIFULLY! A quick refresher: I wanted to go to bed before 1:30 on at least 8 of the nights… as I’m a bit of an insomniac. Well… I TOTALLY exceeded that goal by going to bed before midnight all but 4 nights. That’s huge for me 😀
What’s YOUR mini goal for the next two weeks?
- Drink more water?
- No snacks after 8pm?
- Walk the dogs 5 days/week after work?
- In bed before midnight?
- No more soda?
- Try 2 new fitness classes?
- Take the stairs instead of the elevator/escelator?
- 50 pushups/lunges/situps/etc a day?
Be sure to include what your mini goal is down there in the comment section… it will help hold you accountable and give the rest of us ideas for our mini goals. 😀
Mine? hmmmm…. OH! I’ve got it… minus my birthday celebration and the traveling to Valparaiso next weekend… no going out to eat 😀 So, no temptations with inviting me out to eat, k? If you want to hang with me… we’re walking instead of eating. Got it? GOT IT!
And for the top 5?
Jill Pollitt 15.2%
Stephanie Wortley 9.71%
Jessica Seamon 7.59%
Devan Whitson 7.37%
Michelle McDonnell 7.28%
BOOOOOYAH!!!!!! those are some AWESOME numbers!!!!! 😀 😀 😀
To those on the train, be sure to weigh in via the Google doc first thing today!
Speaking of the Google doc… there are 7 of you who have never logged in and reported loss…. and 12 of you who only weighed in the first time. I’m going to go ahead and assume that you’re no longer interested in being on the train, it’s a bit of a bummer. Howeer, each of us have to decide, on our own, when we’re ready to make this happen… so, we hope to see you guys here on the next round of the train 😀
A few quick reminders:
- Next official weigh in is June 11.
- If you’re a twitterer, be sure to add the hashtag #healthytrain to your HT tweet.
- Join “bobbi’s healthy train” group on Facebook… ANYONE can join… not just the people with the before pics. My trainer is an admin … so if you have fitness questions, ask ‘em there! Dane is also an admin, so if you have questions about diet/need motivation… he’s the guy to talk to. We’d love to have you…
- You don’t have to be officially competing to participate.
- If you haven’t measured yourself yet, DO IT!
- We’ll be taking optional “progress pics” July 23 to keep the motivation levels high, oh… and I fully expect the top 5 to join in on that, we’d love to see what these huge numbers are looking like… OHHHH YESSSSSS!!!!
- Finale date is October 29th.
I adore you guys… thanks for keeping us all motivated! 😀
LOVE!!!!!
~bobbi ❗
PS. after looking at that wedding photo, I couldn’t be more pleased with the progress of my personal mission, “Operation: Grow Back Eyebrows.” Those things were thinnnnnnn! I’ve been in full swing since February… and these things are lookin’ a little Bert (&Ernie)… but in the end, this will be fully worth it. 🙂
I have not done so well – BUT i haven’t gained – so that is a HUGE plus for me and considered that a WIN 🙂 – I’ve been bummed cause I had to get stitches on the bottom of my foot – Yes, the worse place i think to get stitches – which means – Not much physical activity for me! 🙁 Had them in for 10 days, its still not healed up so I still have to be cautious! Should be interesting shooting a wedding on it tomorrow :-/
I didn’t lose or gain this week.
My goal is less eating out.
My goal for the next two weeks is to stop scale-obsessing and to burn 5000 calories.
Only 0.06% away from being top 5! Aside from my goal of cracking the top five 🙂 I’m going to do some type of physical activity during my son’s naptime, instead of sitting at the computer. I’m thinking Wii Fit, extreme window washing, and power vacuuming… things of that nature. Happy Healthy Train friends!!
Get a routine! I know this sounds ridiculous, but I really NEED one! I need a scheduled time to work out and go to bed. I’ve been going to bed so late, that come morning, I have NO desire to work out. Meals are just “whenever” and I eat when I’m starving instead of when my body needs it. Good luck everyone!!
My mini goal is not to eat past 7 pm!!!
so I totally went to the last picture of you on this blog from the wedding post to see what your eye brows looked like. I like ’em better now 🙂 Congrats on reaching your goal! (sleep goal, not eyebrow goal :o) )
Ya know? I never have joined in on this thing (and have no idea how to do the Google Doc thing – ha). But this seems like perfect timing, especially as I’m ‘getting back to it’ right before the folks come to visit. I was rockin’ the weight loss/working out thing until about a year ago, when I stopped working out. (ha) And I’ve got a bit more to go, so it’s time!!
Mini-goals? Drink more water. And the sleep thing. 😉
Thanks for this! Way to encourage people, Bobbi!
Love,
deb
So when is the next one going to kick off? I’m ready this time 😉
not until after this one ends….
My goal for the next two weeks is to work out at least 3 times per week. I haven’t worked out at all but just changed my eating habits a lot (stopped eating crap food and not snacking all the time). Even though I’m doing well with the percentage of weight loss, I don’t notice a huge difference because I still have such a long way to go.
I actually jumped out of the zero percents this week and I am very happy about that! Better than gaining I know. My mini-goal is absolutely no food after dinner.
I am happy that I am still moving in the right direction and after looking over the others on the google doc, many of are! I think that is great. And Jill? you are killing it! My mini goal for this upcoming train is to have fresh fruit for a snack, if I have a snack, in the evenings. I also want to have a salad for dinner at least 3 times in the next 2 weeks and I want to finish getting all the stubborn weeds out of my garden, if that counts
Mini goal is still to drink more water! I also want to take more of the classes offered at the gym at my work. I just dislike going at lunch time because it takes so long to get ready to go back to work. I end up taking an hour and a half for my lunch break. I don’t know how some people just “rinse” off in the shower and go back to work!! Ew! But the classes are worth it in the end. 🙂
I am so so so so so so happy to see my name on the top 5! I have been working hard to get it there since day 1. 🙂 My mini goal is to work out 5 days/week and complete week 5 of Couch to 5k this week.
Happy Birthday! Thanks for the motivation to start setting mini-goals for myself. These days while balancing full time job, photography on the side, motherhood, daughterhood, wifehood, etc. It’s hard to find time for ME! My mini-goals no doubt will be something for ME.
I hit mine!!! I shared on the facebook group, but I am so excited I will say it again! I passed 20% of my original body weight lost, which was my mini goal for the two weeks! Never would have though I could do it! Now what to chose for the next two weeks- get my butt back to zumba class and increase my water intake- I have been bad about that lately! Happy Birthday bobbi, and way to go everyone!
I have slacked off on some days but I am still losing weight and working hard. My mini-goal is to finish Week 2 of Couch to 5K and start on Week 3, plus continue to drink lots of water.
So with the life throwing me a curve ball recently, I’m back on track. Last week we hardly ever ate out and I made healthy dinners every night. Amazing how great that feels. My next goal to lose enough weight I can fit into another pair of jeans instead of the SAME OLD jeans I wear all the time. 🙂
Hey hey, sorry I didn’t log my weight this time. I just got back yesterday from a ten-day trip to Italy and had no internet/e-mail!! Annnnd I probably gained back all the weight I lost…all that pasta!! But my goal for this time of course is to get back on track and count calories.
By the way, that birthday cake looked AMAZING!
You look absolutely beautiful!
