I’ve never been more swamped in my life than I am this very week; but it’s Halloweeeeeen! So Halloween we did.
Without further ado, I present to you our 80’s-inspired fright night. đ
Josh, the Maverick
First up, Maverick from Top Gun. I’ll tell ya, Josh was born to wear this costume! Aaaaare you kidding me with his coolness?!
Two words: heart breaker! Fo’real. No really, those dark eyelashes combined with his sweetness; WHOA!
Clairi Lauper!
Have you EVER seen a cuter 80’s chick? Yeah, me neither… and I lived through them!
I love hanging out with Claire! Â She is truly the epitome of “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” And those freckles?! Fuhgeddaboudit…
Andrew Moorecury
and last, but most certainly not least… Queen’s frontman… THEEEEE FREDDIE MERCURY!
Oh holy hell, where do I even begin with this one?! You should have seeeeen him out there in the garage while shooting these. We played Queen and, as you can clearly tell, this very tall young man turned into Freddie Mercury!
Moore 80’s Please
I have no words!
These kids truly were meant to be in my life. I still cannot believe the jackpot I hit when I married their dad.
We were going to do a quickie outdoor session but thennnn…. raaaaaainnnnn! So we adjusted fire and setup a make-shift studio in our garage. đ
FYI, these glasses were his actual prescription. Thanks Zenni! If you can’t see the writing on the arms it reads, “AndrewMoorecury”
Side note: when Andrew suggested this as his costume, I immediately thought of my friend Gordon Strain’s epic Freddie costume; huge shoutout to him for the inspiration!
Super dogs!
….and HOW could I leave out my love bugs?! Oh, that’s right, I can’t. Â Baby Girl Ruuuuuth, MurphyMo and Freddie (guess who we named him after!)
Full disclosure: this image is 100000% Photoshopped together. đ
Wednesday night’s little garage photoshoot is an experience with my family I will never forget. I loved watching these full-of-personality kids really ham it up and have fun with the silliness.
When we came into each other’s lives years ago one of my goals as their stepmom was to instill in them confidence with their uniqueness. Â Watching them be so comfortable in front of my camera that night filled up my love tank in a very big way. Â I so wish I had been this cool when I was their age! I’ll tell you, this family is destined for greatness.
Thanks for tuning in friends!
~Bobbi

This is precious! What fun kids! So good looking and love your garage studio.
I’ve loved watching these kids grow up in front of your camera, and I’ve become big fans of their silly, loving personalities. These photos show the firecrackers that they really are! (ps kids – thanks for sharing your StepBob with the rest of the world. I think you’re ALL rockstars!)
