Well, I’m sure that many of you noticed that I didn’t weigh in last week. Annnnnnnnnd, that’s because:
1) I had JUST gotten back from Austin on Sunday.
2) I had portrait sessions every day… Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
3) I gained 1lb while I was there π Can I just say… “vacationing” was MUCH harder that I expected it to be!!! Almost ALL of our food was out to eat. We thought we could go to the grocery and I could get some healthy foods but… we were just too busy for all that business. So, only gaining one pound wasn’t as bad as I had feared! (Though, I did work out in their lame little gym)
Reason three probably being the main factor… but I’d rather stick with excuses number one and two because it makes me feel better. So, THIS week… I was pretty hard core to make up for the pound I gained. π Though I’ve been quite busy… I still made time to eat the foods I was supposed to and work out a few times π
So, at the end of this week, I’m SUPER happy to report that I lost THREE POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That puts my total weight loss at 13 lbs π HOW FREEKIN’ EXCITING IS THAT?! Only SEVEN more lbs for WPPI… That means I have 3 weeks and two days to make it happen. I’m feeling pretty confident over here π
YEAH!!!! I’VE LOST 3 CAMERAS!!!!!
I am starting to notice a bit of difference. Tomorrow we have a wedding for the first time since Dec 29… so, that was the last time I wore one of my suits. I decided to try one on yesterday morning and, WELLLLLL… it’s too big π I’ve decided not to buy another one… because I’m still losing weight and don’t want to spend a fortune on a new suit for every ten lbs I lose. So, until I start looking sloppy in it, you guys will just have to deal with “too big” π Gosh, it’s all so exciting!
I’ve also been sleeping better! Which for me, is HUGE! I go to bed no later than 2am (I’ll always be a night owl)… and am up by around 8. I don’t need nearly the amount of sleep I used to require to function. I have more energy than I’ve had in a long time, it’s fab. π
And now onto our total weight loss π

I’m SO thankful for each and everyone of you who’ve been incredibly supportive. You have no idea how motivating and exciting this is for me. I’m beginning to feel more confident in myself. That = awesome! Can’t wait till next Friday!!!!!!!!

While I think that’s great it’s just too much for me to handle. So, if you all could just leave it in the comments, that would be FABULOUS! PPS. The heat is out in our house… I can’t feel my fingers so typing this has taken FOREVER! Luckily, we’re on a “lease with the option to buy” plan so… we still have a landlord who deals with this stuff. On that note, I don’t think we’ll be buying! Too many problems here… BLEH! More on that later (I’m so sick of moving!)

Confession – I lost 0 pounds for my second week and my all or nothing attitude won. I quit for a couple of days. π It’s been too cold to work out and I can list a ton more excuses. I was too scared to weigh in this morning.
I decided that I am going to join a gym again and will report good news (hopefully) next week.
I hate when the heat goes out. I hope it gets fixed soon!

Since I seem to be queen of the weight-loss tool-tips…I HAVE to share the amazing new site I found that has COMPLETELY inspired me and made my weight-loss goals seem possible…
The Daily Plate
My roommate Holly told me about The Daily Plate, and my health goals havenΓ’β¬β’t ever seemed so reachable! The site lets you say what your weight loss goals are, and will tell you how many calories you may consume in order to lose the weight youΓ’β¬β’d like to lose. IΓ’β¬β’m going to use myself as an example to show you what the site doesΓ’β¬Β¦IΓ’β¬β’ll be brave here and tell you specifically what my goals are because I have nothing to hide!
My goal: I want to lose 130lbs.
* I told the site IΓ’β¬β’d like to lose 2 lbs./week.
* The site tells me that I can consume 2,107/day to reach my 2 lbs./week goal, and that I can expect to reach my goal of weighing 140lbs. by May, 2009. (That may seem a long way off to you, but to me it sounds really amazing!)
* I type in what IΓ’β¬β’m eating (it even lets me enter my own recipes!), and the site calculates the nutritional info for me.
* I type in what my average activity level is (not much, since I am in front of the computer all day!), and thatΓ’β¬β’s how it calculates my target calorie consumption.
I signed up for a Gold membership so that I could use some of the special tools that will let me watch my progress as I continue to lose. I find that really helpful and motivating. If any of you would like to join me on The Daily Plate, you can and add me as a friend! And if you do, I will share my super-tasty, high-protein, ridiculously healthy and filling chili recipe with you! π

Sooo, I was all excited to post my weight loss last week…1.6 pounds, but there was never a post! However, I’m not going anywhere near the scale this week, so just put me down for the 1.6 & I’ll get back to you next Friday. Yeah, so I’m a cheater, I have a good excuse π

I’ve been knocked out all week with a KILLER ear infection, so no change for me…at least I didn’t gain anything munching.
OH my gosh i want to jump in this Healthy Train TOO!!!!!!!!!!! I just read these posts and it makes me want to go run and eat carrots and protein shakes π hahah and actually maybe buy a new scale to weigh myself and see results!!!!!!!

I am now at a total of 11 pounds lost..i think that is 5 lbs since your last weigh in before your trip to Texas. So, i am happy!

OK. So, I’m intrigued by the whole bed by 2 up by 8 thing. Aaron and I are struggling on his schedule to get up before 10 or 11. I’ve been blaming it on the fact that we are no longer in college. But here, you’re still doing it! Got any advice?

Well, I had a big weight loss this week but I’m hesitant to post it because I’ve been VERY sick for 7 days and have literally not been able to eat, so my loss is NOT healthy and even though I will try to keep it off, my body is just not right!!! I almost feel as though next Fri will be more accurate since as of TODAY I am finally feeling better! Yea!
So, I’m down about 6 pounds since the last weigh in, but I may be up a little next Friday because my body is quacky right now. π I’m going to work to keep those pounds off though! At least one positive thing may have come from feeling miserable! π

Bobbi! I am so proud of you! 13 pounds!!! You’re going to need to go suit shopping soon! (I am secretly hoping I will need to do the same shopping by the time our wedding season kicks off on May 3rd!)
As for me, well, it’s been a bad couple of weeks. I eat when I’m stressed, and therefore the past couple of weeks I’ve fallen so off the wagon! But there are big good things ahead in March so I am excited to jump back in with both feet!
Well, the week you were in Texas I lost 1.6 pounds…just .40 away from a total of 10 pounds lost. But this week….I had a 1.8 gain…now I know I wasn’t as careful about my eating and I had one too many sodas and I had been down and out with a 4 day headache (and the meds usually make me retain water) but 1.8 pounds gained? However, my trainer measured me and I lost another 1/2 inch on my waist, arms and hips..so it’s all good. π
Another zero for me. I am determined to lose SOMETHING for next Friday. Gotta think of some kind of huge punishment for myself if I don’t!! Lol.

Okay, so I admit…I have been awful at finding time to work out! With only 2 weeks left until the wedding, I have been able to find all kinds of excuses as to why I can’t exercise! Ahhhh! Somehow, I still lost 1.2 pounds this week- I’ll try to do better this week! Congrats to you! It’s very encouraging to see everyone’s posts- Just think about how many people you are helping to get healthy. I am VERY proud of you!

Checking in! Down 2.5lbs this week! Not bad considering its my “girlie week” and I ate anything containing chocolate that came in to my sight!
Okay, down by 2 lbs for this week….looking for the 29th weight in…. I got this protein drink today, giving that a try… let’s see how it goes…so how much did you “trim” this week??? Can’t wait to see!
