Meet Deedee and Kevin… we photo’d their session THIS MORNING and they’re getting married TOMORROW! π …Hence why this session is being blogged a bit out of order… π You see, I’ve been sitting at the hotel bar for hours trying to get these done in time… and BADABOOM BADABING I made it! However, just an FYI, it they look different than usual that’s because I processed them all on my laptop. π
They live in Washington, D.C… where their wedding is taking place… TOMORROW! π So, this session happened in the back streets of D.C… π
Deedee has the most beautiful blue/green/gold eyes… the same color as Mike’s
HELLOOOOO BICYCLE! Mike’s favorite β
My famous HILARIOUS JOKES neverrrr fail π
We first met these two at Heather and Brian’s Mexico wedding in January, 2009. They’d then only been dating for six months. I remember asking her about him… she said she knew then that she’d found the person she was going to marry. Pretty cool, right?
On our exploration we found a random chair.Β It was trash day there in Georgetown…. BONUS!
My favorite β
I’ll go ahead and answer you… because I know you’re all wondering… “that streak of hair is awesome! I wonder if she dyes it that way?!” Nope.. it started turning when she was a teenager.Β Isn’t it flippin’ awesome?!
Β
I usually ask these questions via email to the bride. However, they’re in the midst of their rehearsal… so bear with me here, I’m going on memory π

This is what curly hair that was straightened does in the humidity…
It was here where a man on a loud speaker announced, “STEP AWAY FROM THE WALL!” So, that’s exactly what we did π In the good ol’ Midwest… exploring the back streets doesn’t have much consequence. HOWEVER… that building was (what we think was) the Ukranian Embassy.Β I won’t lie… it was really exciting π

You know how you can tell these two are absolutely, madly in love? They’re saying “I love you” with their hands. π
Bobbi, please take a 5 minute break to take Mike to the Newseum (newseum.org).
I saw the first picture and thought to myself, ‘that looks like the C&O Canal in Georgetown’ and I was right! I wish you guys were doing some sort of get together while you are here. I would have loved to meet you!! I can treat you guys to an awesome burger place in the district if you’re here Monday. π
B+M strike again – and with help from DeeDee and Kevin, Georgetown probably didn’t know what hit it. All four of you rock, the wedding will be awesome, and it’s so great to see DD+K so happy and in their element!
I couldn’t believe it when Heather told me that you got the blog photos posted the same day – that kicks ass!
Love the last black and white of the two of them with the reflection – and of course Mikey’s bike.
Love these photos! PS, Bobbi, I only know you from your blog, but you’re looking GREAT!! Good job girl. Seriously! Just wanted to let you know that you’re inspiring (I know this isn’t a healthy train post or anything, but I thought it was worth mentioning). Also, the sea foam green stairwell photo is my fave too!

Way to go you two! Now rest up for that wedding and then maybe squeeze in a quick little tour of the city–if you can. Or go back…D.C. is awesome!

I love that no matter what city you are all in – you manage to find the best places. You rocked this session out and you did it in ONE day. You guys blow my mind. They are very lucky to have such amazing photographers that care as much as you do.
Oh, I just love all of these! Especially your favorite and that bicycle wall, and of course, that chair! Who would throw that away?? Lovely work, can’t wait to see the wedding!!! Hope you also get some time to relax!
I have yet to do that all in one day. Great job!
I like in Arkansas but did a bridal session in Georgetown we shot in so many of the same places!!! It was SOO fun looking at these and going, I had that same shot! (well not as glorious as yours, but still!) We used the bicycle and also those blue stairs.. except at the time we used them, there was a pile of human poo of to the left!!!! We took those fast and got out of there! LOL. Fun post
wow – the images are sooooo cool! Hope the wedding goes well guys!!! Phil π
GAH i didn’t know you were coming to DC! I do sessions in georgetown all the time but i’ve never seen that bicycle anywhere and have never lucked out enough to find a random chair :0) love these!!
Hi Bobbi and Mike,
I just recently stumbled upon your website. I gotta say I love your work and I love that you all live in Indiana. I lived in Indianapolis and South Bend and didn’t know such cool photogs were around.
Keep sharing pictures of yourselves at the end of the posts. It’s like the dessert after a four course meal π
HEY! We were so excited to see that you guys are in Washington! We’re like… 1 1/2 hours from there! Do you know where in PA Deedee is from? (Awesome shoot, by the way π
How fun does DC look?!!! Love this session guys! Can’t wait to see the wedding.
