I’ve been so excited to show you this wedding!…meanwhile…
Carrie was an absolutely gorgeous bride!
My favorite! ❗Heading upstairs for the first sight.

Right after their first sight, we walked across the street to Millennium Park to photograph some portraits. 😀Carrie, I envy that itty bitty waist of yours! Saturday at The Bean… CRAZY BUSY! …and then we walked back. 😉Such an incredible venue. We adooooore Carrie’s parents!
RECEPTION TIME!Absolutely the best part of the entire day. His name is Wayne, if he lived closer… he’d by Mike’s best friend. PS. Where’s Waldo?! 😀…a little bit softer now…a little bit softer now…

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

carrie: Seeing Mike for the first time, walking down the aisle and seeing his huge smile, and spending the whole night together. I was so nervous before our first look, and when I saw him, all of my anxiety melted away. We had so much fun together throughout the entire day – I’m getting a huge smile on my face just thinking about it!

mike: I don’t think I had a single most memorable moment, but a series of memorable moments with Carrie, my wife. Most of my memories are of her – how beautiful she was, how much she smiled, how much we enjoyed being with our friends and family, and how much we enjoyed being with each other.

Any advice for future bride/grooms?

carrie: During the planning process, pick the top 2-3 things that matter most to each of you – ours were venue, food, photography, entertainment, making things easy and enjoyable for all of our friends and family, and having an amazing wedding planner. It really helped us focus our energy on what was most important to us and somehow helped “everything else” fall into place somewhat naturally. During the wedding, try to slow down and take everything in. The day goes by so quickly and it’s easy to get caught up in final logistics – hand-off any last-minute details to someone else so you can relax and enjoy the entire day with your husband, friends, and family.

mike: My advice to future brides and grooms is to soak up every moment – the day will go by in a flash, so do your absolute best to remember it.

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

carrie: Bobbi nicknaming one of the groomsmen “Sam Adams!” Then, that same groomsman doing the splits on the dance floor. Too funny! (But you have to admit, he DOES look like Sam Adams!)

mike:  Groomsman Brad Bollman having a little too much fun with his #1 Fan foam fingers…

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

carrie: Besides wishing the day moved a bit slower and wanting more time at the reception with all of our friends and family… It was the happiest day of my life, and I wouldn’t change a thing!

mike: The only thing I would change would be allowing for more time with friends and family. We had a blast with everyone in attendance and just wished we could have enjoyed more time with those people who made the trek from near and far.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We are going on a belated honeymoon at the end of August to Italy for 18 days – visiting Milan, Lake Como, Venice, Florence, Cinque Terra, Siena, Umbria, and finishing the trip with four days in Rome. We’ve both always wanted to go to Italy and excited to explore so many places! Also, we’re really pumped for all of the delicious food, tasty wine, and tons of gelato…

[br] [br] [br] Carrie and Mike, you guys are awesome, thanks for everything that day! Oh, and Carrie, tell your mom thank you. 🙂

Much love friends,
