Our five minute Jonah session… 🙂 Why was it only five minutes you ask? Because we were there to visit Jonah… not to take his photo, but we couldn’t resist!
I LOVE baby expressions!
“Where am I?”
“You’re scaring me!”
“whatchyoo lookin’ at?”
INDIANAPOLIS. Jonah’s mommy Karen has been a part of my life for a long long time. 🙂 Because I’m not FROM Indiana… there are few people that I’ve known for long here. I think she’s the only person who’s been in my life since I moved here. Wow to THAT!
Rewind to 1999… I was in the color guard at Indiana State University… and she was in the band (she’s an AMAZING trumpet player). Stereotypically, color guard girls and bandos are usually not friends. However, I don’t play those games…. I LOVED the band!!!!! She remembers me being the loud and overly confident freshman (she was a sophomore) and I remember thinking she was super nice and beautiful. Oh… and she had a solo that year so of COURSE I KNEW she was UBER talented…. duh. Everytime she’d see me she’d yell, “HEYYYYYYYYYY BOBBBBBBBBB !!!!!!!” I adored her.
Fast forward five years later. I started coaching the color guard at Terre Haute North High School… when I took the job I had NO idea that she was the assistant band director. I walk in and hear, “HEYYYYYYYYYYYYY BOBBBBBBBBB !!!!!” I KNEW it was Karen and KNEW I was going to have a blast with the band 😀 I did.
Fast forward another year later…. Karen’s getting married to the most PERFECT guy for her… his name is Jeremy :), who does she call?! “HEYYYYYYYYYYYY BOBBBBBBBBBBB !!!!!”
Fast forward another 2.5 years later…. KAREN HAS HAD A BABY!!!!!!!!! HOLY COWABUNGA BATMAN!!! WOW! OF COURSE Mikey and I had to meet him! We brought our cameras along just in case he was ready for his modeling debut. 😀 He was! Sooooo… BADABOOM BADABING… we’re now done fast forwarding. 🙂 For now… she’ll be whispering… “heyyyyy bobbbbb” 🙂 Baby’s sleeping…
Love you Karen… thanks for being such an awesome part of my life. Oh, and to the Clark and Eglen families… I miss you guys, it’s been WAY too long!
LOVE!
