this made me cry, how precious these images are!
I am a huge fan of your photography~ thank you for sharing!
Wow, that was amazing. I am just speechless. What a journey to capture!
So so beautiful. I teared up. My brother just had a baby 4 days ago. I was going to photograph it, but they went into labor the one day I had to second shoot a wedding. Bobbi you did an amazing job!

So amazing. The beauty of the mother through the pain just took my breath away. Gorgeous family, gorgeous images. Congratulations, godparents! π
Ok…I’m leaving another comment. when I left the previous one, I hadn’t watched the slideshow yet. I have never been a fan of video/cameras in the delivery room (with the exception of photographing the baby) but this just changed my mind. These are STUNNING. It’s very rare that you capture “love at first sight” on film.
Congratulations! You look so content holding that little one.
Just breathtaking…nicely done!
tears welling up… what a beautiful thing to capture. Life is such an amazing miracle. It makes my heart yearn for the day when I can experience this too! I believe this is your best work- what a treasure!
these photos, as usual, are magical. even through the obvious pain, it makes me so excited to experience birth myself. bravo.
Simply breathtaking.
There is nothing like watching new life be born. Makes you really look at the world differently, and you brought all those emotions and love into your images. ♥

OH MY! Absolutely amazing!!
Bobbi, I have been a fan of yours for a long time, for many reasons. I have followed along with the healthy train and been inspired to change my life as well. I have always thought that you were so adorable and would be so fun to know – that smile of yours is contagious. BUT – that last image of you absolutely takes my breath! So sweet & serene and so very, very authentic. YOU ARE STUNNING!!
I’m in complete awe right now. As an expectant father that just took me on a whole other journey of emotions. Wonderful job! Thank you so much for sharing and congrats to the whole family.

I Have been following your blog for awhile and this is the first time that I cried. Amazingly beautiful!
Amazing! What an amazing way to use your gifts. Mom and baby will treasure your images forever!
These just almost knocked me out of my chair…truly amazing. They made me want to have a baby and I don’t even have a boyfriend. You are an ultimate dynamic duo and you have inspired me as a photographer in ways that I can’t even explain. THANK YOU!

oh and bobbi, you look great! keep up the good work π
What an amazing gift you gave Ryan and Andrea. These photos are breathtaking! Congrats!!
Do you know how good you are? Do you know? Your heart comes out in every image you take; the love you have for your friends shines in these images. After having 2 natural childbirths myself, this slideshow brought back so many emotions and memories….and I was also so thankful to have had a friend present to record each moment. The gift you have given them is immeasurable! To this gorgeous family: congrats on a beautiful birth and best wishes to you all!
These are so beautiful and something that they will all cherish forever. They *almost* made me want to have another baby.
I’ve been a faithful reader for years and I love all your posts…but this one…WOW. Maybe it’s my own pregnancy hormones but I think this is the best work that you have ever done. Congrats to Ryan and Andrea from their friends at IU Rec Sports.
Great images. So, Bobbi, how does this compare to your weddings? Do you see yourself in the future doing more delivery shoots? After posting this beautiful story, I can definitely see many expectant mothers knocking on your door.
<3 steph

Made me cry…you captured something so special and beautiful. Thank you. congrats to everyone.
All I can say is…I don’t know these people, but after watching this slide show, I feel as if I do. These photos are so intimate and so filled with emotion. (I love the note cards.) Also, I’m crying like it’s my baby being born! So, amazing doesn’t cover these pictures guys!! You never disappoint! π
Lush, gorgeous images as always, full of story, heart, and place.
Oh wow. Chills and tears is the only way I can describe how I feel when I look at these photos. My pregnancy hormones are kickin waaaaay in! Beautiful, Bobbi and Mike. You have outdone yourselves by a mile this time.
Incredible….so beautiful. What an experience for you two, and the most special gift imaginable for this family.

So good, seriously so incredible good. This is capturing life in a whole new way for you guys π and I LOVE this so much and I have to agree with someone else who posted, that last image of you, WOW, gorgeous!!!
There’s nothing more magical than the first few days between Mommy Daddy and new baby. Love them π
I don’t know anyone else who puts this much heart and soul into their photography. Beautiful…absolutely beautiful.
These pictures make me want to have another baby! What an amazing experience it must have been for you. My favorites are the pictures of her nursing August Rose for the first time, and you holding the baby. What a wonderful thing to have these pictures of her birth.
perfect.
Beautiful!
Come on, now, with that ridiculousness. Seriously gorgeous and what a great gift you’ve given them. I was furious at Rich for running around the hospital room taking photos instead of holding my foot like a good husband, but the minute I saw the shots from then, I knew they’d be some of the most important I’d ever had. Gorgeous and congratulations!
well done, you chose the perfect music to compliment the beautiful birth story! Congrats on being godparents! Hope you pencil her in from the start. The best thing you can give babies & children is your time! π
That is amazing!!! Bobbi you look absolutely gorgeous holding the little one π Proud godparents π
Amazing! You are such a wonderful and giving friend, the people in your life are very lucky to have you! Congratulations to everyone!
This brought up so many memories and emotions that I didn’t realize are still so raw, having gone through childbirth almost one year ago. Amazing work, once again, Bobbi. You captured so many of the most important moments. Wish you had been there for ours!
wow Bobbi, this is amazing. What a beautiful set of images. These parents will cherish these forever.
Made my cry… Bobbi, they are simply beautiful and I can see your heart in the images. Truly special…. magical.
Absolutely gorgeous, Bobbi. Not much else to say. π
absolutely utterly beautiful…. π
I cried when I saw the wedding pictures you took of them and now I’m crying seeing the baby pictures. (I’m not stalking them, I’m friends of her mom & aunt)
There are only a few of these moments, tiny fragments of time so pure that the world instantly reinvents, resets, enriches itself. It takes a special kind of artist to do these experiences justice, to share a story so powerful that everything either happened before or after this moment. Bobbi and Mike: Thank you a million times for sharing your love, talent, souls and passion with us. You have always been family, now it is just official.
I never cease to be amazed at the miracle of new life. You all captured it so beautifully!! They explode with love…
Congrats to the new parents!!!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL images!!! and That last picture of you Bobbi is stunning!
I think my womb contacted when looking at her in labor. And only a new baby can make people smile so big. Congrats to everyone.
Beautiful!! And can I just say I love that last picture of you! It has a quiet fierceness about it…
This is amazing! These photos were amazing. Beautiful. You captured wonderful moments. The love and support between the couple is so clear and vivid. The first photo with her holding her baby made me tear up. Thank you for sharing these with all of us, thanks to the brave parents for letting everyone see such an intimate moment of theirs… AMAZING
OH MY GOSH, she looks STUNNING all the way though giving birth…this is INCREDIBLE. So beautiful.
I love that you used black and white. During labor, it kind of seems like everything is in black and white and in slow motion…these images really took me back to my own experience. SO beautiful. What a wonderful gift you have given them. And what a SMOOSHY baby!! π
so beautiful. i’m totally in tears..
You know I love this and just posted it on Facebook. But just had to chime in and say how blessed I feel to have gotten to see their story through your eyes.
Love everyone in this show!!!!
Welcome baby August!!! Love you Hunley fam!
Seriously these are amazing. They will cherish these forever I am sure. I love that they are in B&W it just cuts right to the emotion. The two pictures of each of you at the end are lovely too. Bobbi you are a beautiful godmother.
Oh, my god! Thank you, thank you so much for sharing this moment with us! I am at work now (yeah, I know…) and it’s hard to see it without getting teary-eyed… It’s amazing to see such a sweet look in your eyes… Thank you again, and congratulations, Andrea, you are my idol!!
HOLY SHIT!! You are so the real deal.
Oh my, I’m on my third watch of the slideshow……I’m due in two weeks with bump number three. You have captured it perfectly, the pain, the emotion and especially the love. Well done Mummy and Daddy and to you the godparents. I love your weddings but this surpasses them all. Denise
bobbi, that slideshow is absolutely amazing!
Oh wow–what a moving collection of images, and a beautiful baby girl π
Just incredible, emotional, painful, hard, beautiful, amazing. You have to fight for the best things in life, and thats what you showed here… a baby is the best thing π
Oh that is an amazing show. What a special treasure!!
SOOOOO Beautiful! My husband is going to be mad at you for giving me a case of baby fever, haha. Seriously though, this slideshow was so full of emotion. Amazing job … and that baby is ADORABLE!
Oh my! I work as a nurse in labor and delivery, and these are the most beautiful photos! And kuddos to that husband who was there beside his wife’s side the whole time! Back massage and all π Love your work Bobbi and Mike π Thanks for this post!
Out of this world amazing.
Not only were the photographs just perfection, but you chose music (the last two songs) that are so near and dear to my heart. Have been in my life for many years – and I just sat here sobbing as I watched. I haven’t heard them in a long time, I am so happy they will be in my life again.
Amazing.
it is just amazing…. i too recently had the honor of photographing a birth. one of the highlights of my life.
christine
So I have watched this a few times now and it does the same thing to my heart every time, wells up so big it could explode. I love these photos, I love this love. I also love that she has my doctor so for some reason it makes my heart feel like all will be well for me in the future too…. and today that’s a blessing for my heart π
how seriously beautiful. thanks for sharing.
OMG! These pictures gave me chills. What’s more, are the expressions! I could feel the labor. I cried with happiness at watching the picture show. The music was so appropriate. Fit like a glove. Bobbi, you and Mike are just so extraordinary, it’s unbelievable. Congrats to the parents, their families and especially the godparents.
PS You both look great holding the baby. So very natural!
I have 5 kids. My last was finally the natural childbirth I wanted. The emotions and sensations you caught bring back exacts memories from 4 months ago. What a blessing and honor for you to have shared in an amazing event like this. There is nothing more beautiful than the experience of this life process. And…you and Mike look ready to have one yourself π
Simply amazing…
Simply Beautiful. A very precious memory captured.
Bobbi! These made me cry. I can’t wait till that’s me one day. And might I add that you look absolutely breathtaking in that last shot!
What a beautiful story and documentation of the gift of life. You have given this family the most precious gift. What a blessing this child is. And I love the black and white.
What beautiful pictures. Sigh. So lovely. And I dare say Mike looks adorable holding a baby and Bobbi, you look gorgeous in that picture on the right. Gorg!
Stunning images. I was a total, complete puddle watching that slideshow. You couldn’t have captured the raw energy of child birth any better than that – seriously amazing images! Watching her husband apply counter pressure during labor reminded me of my own labor!! Congrats to the new parents – she’s beautiful!
Unbelievable! I’m speechless. You gave them the best gift you can give a parent. Great job!
Loved every picture. This was breathtaking.
That was a beautiful, intense and emotional slideshow! Nicely done! Love that first song too!
P.S. – Holy hotness on the right there Bobbi! You look awesome in that picture!
aw bobbi you did such a wonderful job. babies are the besssst! π how excited that you got to be there during such a special time!!
Bobbi- I rarely ever comment but I follow you religiously. I know that you are always self-conscious with the healthy train and all that jazz, but not only are you doing an amazing job with your crazy busy job, but also?
THAT PICTURE OF YOU WITH THE BABY AT THE END OF THE POST?! HOLY CRAP ON TOAST YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL. i mean, don’t be self-conscious. not only would most people DIE to have red hair (at any shade), but it wouldn’t look good on most of us. Not only does it suit you, but you personify it. You wear that hair, and not vice versa. AND ALSO- THAT PICTURE IS BEAUTIFUL! let me say it again. STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL Godmother.
And also, they couldn’t be a more gorgeous family. They’re one of those families that you see loving each other and almost weep.
Oh my, that was beautiful. I guess I needed a good cry tonight!
Bobbi, I am bawling over that beautiful amazingness! You are so amazing. Birth is so amazing. I love it! I just wish that I lived closer to you so that you could be there when it is my turn.

I can feel her contractions! Truly a beautiful experience. I’m glad you got to be there. While I do not love labor pains, I do love the product and your photos make me excited to meet my last baby, and they make me dread the pain π Congratulations to August’s mommy and daddy and godparents!

Long-time follower; it is through tear filled eyes that I make my first comment ever to this blog. Your photos of this entire life-changing event are intimate yet tastefully done. The endurance, the pain, and the sheer joy that everyone experienced was evident through your photos. I am two and a half months pregnant, and seeing these photos made me eager to meet my child more than ever.

As I sit here crying, I have to say that this is the most beautiful birth experience I have ever seen on film. Bobbi, I am so glad that you have such an awesome relationship with Andrea and Ryan that they would share August Roseβs βBirthβday with you. I so want to be a Grandma.

the hug between her and her dad(?) i lost it. also, how incredible is the daddy trying to ease her discomfort. that’s a good man right there. what a beautiful & blessed event you captured perfectly.
AHHHHH!~ Bobbi, that that last image- of you. Is the best shot I have ever seen of you! So effortlessly beautiful. π
I was able to photograph the birth of my friend’s baby girl this past spring. It was to be a home birth that ended at the hospital with a C-section, but a healthy family. I was with them for over thirty-two hours and I think it might just be the highlight of my year. Wonderful photos, you two. Congrats all around.
that was one of the most beautiful things i have ever seen! what a TREASURE!!! and I totally agree that the last picture of you amazing!
Andrea and Ryan are so beautiful together. You can see that connection that was so evident all those years ago, is stronger than ever. Gives me massive goosebumps.

Please give my congrats to the beautiful family. I am so very, very happy for them!! She is GORGEOUS, just like her parents!
I have watched birth story slide shows before and I must say that this family’s story has touched me the most and brought tears to my eyes. I love the way they are in it together every step of the way and Dad is there with Mom from the tub to the hospital bed, literally!
What a beautiful relationship they have and what a lucky baby to have parents that love each other so much. Imagine the love their little one will be blessed with!
