I have been a big fan for YEARS! I’ve never commented on anything before…too shy maybe? Anyhow, this post made me cry. Every man in my family – grandfathers, uncles, dad, etc. have served in the military. Thank you for sharing your family with all of us. What a wonderful job you’ve done at honoring them. And, I had no idea you served for so long! Thank you. Thank you to your family, to you, and to those serving now for your sacrifice, your passion, and your honor. You inspire so many people in so many ways.

I love your pictures of Mike. I was stationed with your dad at Little Rock, and I went to your parents wedding. His brothers and friends showed up, and there was a great jam session at the apartment. Tell your dad I said hi.
How is it that your mom was in the USAF for only two years? And yes – her BMTS photo from ’78 is hot!
