Their rings were SO cool! Pauline wanted super unique rings. Jim wanted something a little more conservative. So… they compromised! These things are hinged. When they open… they display a personalized message. When closed… they look like normal wedding bands. See… told you they were cool! Two questions to pauline+jim. One: what does it say? Two: where did you get them… I know that our blog readers will want to know 🙂
The marriage certificate had a “condition” category. Jim’s is listed as “bachelor” and Pauline’s, “spinster.” HA!

We met up for a few more portraits before the reception… Hey, we couldn’t resist! 🙂 Don’t they look so serene?

NEGRIL, JAMAICA. It’s another blog post that starts with… “WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN?!” WOWZERS what an AWESOME experience THAT was! 😀 Now, we always leave weddings feeling like we need to go to our bride and grooms family reunions because usually in such a short period of time we become so close to the families/friends. It’s like we have 100 different sets of parents. Wow, I’m getting more and more strange by the second. Whatever… deal with my strangeness. Anyway… this wedding was definitely not an exception. There were about 25 guests, great families, fun friends…. and us. 🙂 Our bride and grooms do such an amazing job of not making us feel like vendors. We’re SO damn lucky!
PAULINE!!!!! I FLIPPING LOVE YOU!!!!! Pauline is SO full of life, personality, smiles, and sweetness. Oh, and bonus… she’s GORGEOUS! She has beautiful big brown eyes, a HUGE smile and she’s so teeeeeny. AHHH!! SO CUTE!!! 😀
Jim Jim Jim… 🙂 Jim and my Mikey are two peas in a pod. Sincere, friendly, laid-back, attentive and well… just an awesome person. Jim and Mike are both super technical, smart and analytical. Afterall, Jim’s an engineer. Their relationship reminds us SO much of ours. So of course we love being around them! Duh. 🙂
Pauline got ready in RECORD timing! 45 minutes! YES… you heard that right, FORTY-FIVE MINUTES! When she told me about her timeline, I thought she was crazy… NEVER have I seen makeup, hair and dress in less than two hours. WOW! But, she did it, was gorgeous… and everything was perfectly on time.
My favorite part of their wedding? Their vows. I LOVE when a bride and groom write their own! It’s rare… 🙂 I remember at one point Jim said, “the easiest decision I’ve ever made was asking you to be my wife.” 😀 Pauline was… GO FIGURE… SO STINKIN’ CUTE during her vows! She started reading them and IMMEDIATELY started crying. She kept laughing at herself exclaiming, “I cannot believe I’m crying.. I’m a mess!” 🙂 I guess that they made a bet… she didn’t think she’d cry… he was sure she would… HE WON! 😀 I loved every second 🙂
The day after their wedding, we ran into them for breakfast 🙂 I asked what THEIR favorite part of the day was. They said that they had talked about it the night before and Jim couldn’t think of one particular thing… but it was all just perfect. Pauline said that she had two favorite parts. 🙂 One: dancing with their guests at the reception. And Two… when Mike and I were taking their bride and groom photos. 🙂 HOW NEAT IS THAT?! I said, “REALLY?! WOW!” She said it was so great to have some alone time with Jim… and that all of the kissing was a bonus. 🙂 That response made my week. 😀
I’m sad… I miss them. 🙁 Enough about that…
I cannot thank you guys enough for asking us to be a part of your wedding. A HUGE thanks to your family for letting us in with open arms.

I guess I’ll start by answering the two questions about the rings 🙂 (Mr. Technical to the rescue!)
“One: what does it say?” They say… something private! hahahaha! Pauline wrote hers in Spanish and I wrote mine in Gaelic. Oh – and I included it in part of my vows – that’s as much hint as you get!!!
“Two: where did you get them… I know that our blog readers will want to know” I guess we won’t keep that a secret 🙂 The rings are called Treasure Rings and are designed by Tammy Kohl – http://www.takohl.com/ I still don’t know exactly how Pauline found them but like you said – we’re both thrilled.

I cannot choose a favorite. When you told me how beautiful Pauline is, your words could not describe what your photos captured. This has to be one of the top three weddings that you and Mikey have ever photographed. The jumping shot is the best one yet. I surely hope they didn’t trash that beautiful dress.
