Elizabeth:  I can’t pick just one! Our first look was amazing, and finally getting to see my groom was the best 🙂 It was also incredibly sweet and memorable that Mike had planned out to give me a note and a sentimental gift every hour from the time I woke up until we saw each other. Reading the first note where he laid out his plan floored me and made me realize what a special guy I was getting to marry!

Mike:  The moment before Elizabeth and I had our first look. With my back turned in the tree lined area at the back of the Black Iris property, I waited for her to make the long walk. On the property adjacent, a wedding celebration was starting and I could see the bride and groom together and couldn’t wait for that moment to be ours!

Elizabeth:  Hire Bobbi! And follow her advice of just taking a step back and really taking in the moment – it all goes so quickly, and those are the times you will remember the best! Also, if something goes “wrong,” roll with it – you never know, that might end up being one of your favorite things from the day!

Mike:  Well gentlemen, the saying goes: “Happy Wife, Happy Life.” It doesn’t hurt to start that trend on day one! From the moment she woke up until we saw each other at first look, I gave Elizabeth a note and a gift each hour of the day. They weren’t all extravagant gifts, but something to let her know I was thinking about her and help celebrate the day. Wedding day is stressful for the bride….do what you can to help make it more fun!

Elizabeth:  The best man’s dad came up to us when we were having our first dance to take a super up close picture of us, and Mike leans in and says to me, “You know he just took a selfie.”

Mike:  The funniest moment had to be when the father of my best man took a photo of Elizabeth and me during our first dance….from two feet away! I have never seen a third person on the dance floor during the first dance!
