When I need workshop models, I often ask on social media for people to send me in their info. When Ruth sent me her photo, my jaw literally dropped to the damn ground! RUUUUTH?! THEEEE RUUUUTH?! 2008 RUUUUUTH?! I SHOT SENIOR PHOTOS IN TEXAS RUUUUUTH? YES YES YES YES! LOOK NO FURTHER! She pulled out the trump card!
BUT OF COURSE I would LOVE to photograph the married Ruth. Wait. What!?! WHAAAAT?! MARRIED?! HOW AM I OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE PHOTOGRAPHED A SENIOR WHO IS NOW MARRIED???!! Whoa. Whatever.. back to the excitement…
So she now lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan which is about six hours north. We exchange emails, she says she and her HUSBAND have no problem making the drive. Fast forward a month or two later…..
The knock on my door, I greet them and thennnn I.FREAK.OUT…
“RUUUUUTH!!!!! YOU’RE SO TALL! YOU’RE SO GROWN UP! YOU HAVE A HUSBAND! AND HE’S SO HANDSOME!” Gosh, I’m like the crazy aunt who you never want to introduce your friends to! I’m ridiculous!
Okay, enough about the history of Ruth and Bobbi… onward to their love!

Ruth, you were one of the most confident young women I’d ever met back in 2008 and you’ve grown into an even more beautiful woman than I ever could have imagined.
Through her eyes I was downright smitten with her husband! I loved seeing her happy!
