    Most memorable moment of the day?

    Kelly:  Ah! There’s so many! However, I think the best was singing and dancing with friends and family while Greg and the boys played Wagon Wheel. Considering the singer/violinist and other guitarist had never met and none of them had practiced together – they pulled it off like PROS.

    Greg: I’ll never forget cutting the cake with Kelly’s dad’s sword. At Christmas, if anyone would ask for a knife or scissors to open a box he would bring out this giant sword and think it was hilarious… every time…. every year. When he passed away last February, I told Kelly if no one bought us the Kate Spade cake knife she wanted, I was using the sword. Luckily, no one bought it for us so I got to use the sword! We didn’t explain to anyone why this sword is important (so people were confused) and even though we almost knocked the cake over with it, it’s one of the things that I won’t forget about our reception.

    Any advice for future brides/grooms?

    Kelly:  Make your ceremony awesome. Our biggest goal was having our ceremony mean something to us besides those few moments when we happened to get married before a big party. Not to brag, but we succeeded! Have your friends and family play a role in your ceremony, in any way you can. We had my grandpa sing, allowed two friends to speak unguided during the ceremony (scary at first, but Chelsea and Cody did amazing and I’ll never forget it), a champagne toast by us (the bride and groom) to the past before we took our vows for the future, a lot of humor mixed in with the traditional ceremony pieces. Those few little adjustments to a ‘traditional’ ceremony made it the most amazing experience of my life. The emotions in the room were overwhelming and so positive!
    Also, if you’re a Bobbi Bride, just relax… Bobbi is like an Inspector Gadget Ninja. She can handle anything.

    Greg:  Make the day reflect who you are, all around. Don’t get caught up in what you “should” be doing. Kelly did an awesome job of planning the day so that from the time the bridal party arrived, we had everything we needed to have fun, relax, and enjoy the day. Great food, great beer, great friends… it all made my nervous go away and I was able to just sit back and enjoy. Having family assigned to helping things run smooth so that the bridal party can just relax makes everything stress free (Thanks Aunt Jill and Joy!)

    What was the funniest moment from the day?

    Kelly:  It’s a toss-up between two things. First, when our nephew Andrew joined us for our first dance. So adorable! Second, when I shamefully told Mark Beecher (our DJ) that I was sorry to change our end of night line up at the last minute, but I really needed to hear some Spice Girls.

    Greg:  At the end of the night I was dancing hard to Turn Down for What. I turned around and Mike was still there taking pictures. I remember yelling at him “You were supposed to go home before I danced to this!” I’m still nervous to see the end of the night pictures, but grateful that we got to spend some extra time with our awesome photographers.

    Kelly:  My only regret is forgetting my glasses to put on during the reception. Contacts suck.
    Greg:  I’d make it a wedding weekend. Keep the party going!

    Where did you go on your honeymoon?

    We went on a Western Caribbean Cruise and both forgot to take cash or debit cards. Some lady told us the fact that we laughed about it and didn’t get mad means we’ll have a long marriage. I don’t think she knows there were lots of cocktails involved. 😉

    OH EM GEEEEE!! These images are breathtaking! So emotional and full of life. I’m feeling all the feels from going through this post! I absolutely love how happy they are. The shots from the beginning of the day are so cool and the ceremony images are incredible, the photo of her grandfather singing had me holding back tears! I really love every image of the two of them, so natural and timeless. What a lucky couple! One day I only dream that you could photograph my wedding.

    Great photos! But, my, you are so much a Mc Cue and especially your Grandmother’s Grand Daughter! It’s almost miraculous. Beautiful! (You!) Thank you! I hope to get to meet you…. I and my brother Ray continually miss our dear Sister, Nancy, and it’s six years since she left and almost fourteen years since I’d last been in contact with her and our Mother, Cathy, up near Tampa (hurricane Andrew, 1972.) Excuse the nostalgia. I’ll be 86 this month; Ray is now 88. It’s wonderful to hear about you, see your talent and see your picture. You’re Grandmother would have been immensely proud. Thank you, Uncle Jack.
