My favorite engagement ring is always a simple solitaire. After all, that’s what I have. 😉 This one is a cushion cut. The wedding band was something that slid underneath to frame it… I’ve never seen anything like it…. very very cool!
And heeeeere’s Peter! His smile is just like Christian Bales’.Such beautiful bridesmaids.
Side note: a question that often comes up during the getting-ready process, “which leg does the garter go on?” Almost all things wedding go on the left… the garter, the boutonniere/corsages, the wedding rings, the bride down the aisle, etc… 😉
How incredible is her dress?!  🙂 More about that soon…I pride myself in being a non-distraction during the ceremony. Even though the super-friendly priest gave us free reign and as close as I am to them in this moment, I can guarantee you that very few guests noticed I was there (I also really love the silent shutter option on the 5dmk3). I’ve heard horror stories about some photographers and what they do during the service. After all, one of my very good friends is a local videographer… he’s shown me footage of photographers that would make anyone cringe!
Our favorite! ❗ + ❓  I ADORE flower petal send offs! Their trolly broke down right after we left the church. It was just the two of them and me in this trolly. This image was taken the moment we realized we were broken down. MIKE TO THE RESCUE! I called him and he immediately came with the Jeep to pick us up. The image above on the right was taken while we waited. 😀 The image on the right was the TLC crew with “Something Borrowed, Something New”.  I think it’s supposed to air this winter some time. 😀

 [br]What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Marcy’s grandparents walking down the aisle together, seeing each other for the first time in church, and walking outside after the ceremony for the petal toss. It’s an unbelievable feeling to know there are so many people who love and support us (and like to throw things-petals-at us).

[br] Any advice for future bride/grooms?

Think about your guests throughout the planning process and enjoy every moment! The day is a whirlwind of excitement, emotions, and memories.

 [br]Funniest memory from your wedding day?

We have a couple: 1. Marcy rejecting Peter at the altar for the first kiss because the priest never said, “You may kiss the bride.” Marcy was waiting for permission!  2. A guest ripping his pants on the dance floor and owning it! He definitely rocked out the ripped pants and still maintained to bust the moves.

 [br]If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Only one thing—we would get our picture taken with Bobbi!  (I adore you both!)

 [br]Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We “mini-mooned” in Chicago and will be going to Maui, HI in October.
