The evening before their wedding, Lori and Eugene held a traditional Korean Paebaek ceremony. For those who don’t know what that is, here’s an excerpt from Weddingbee’s Wikipedia page,
“In Korean tradition, the marriage between a man and a woman represents the joining of two families, rather than the joining of two individuals. The engaged couple will enter together dressed in ceremonial Korean wedding attire called hanbok. Their parents, the honorees, will be seated in front of a table laden with various edibles and tea (or soju – rice wine). The couple will bow deeply to the honorees, then kneel as one pours tea/soju. Once each honoree drinks the tea/soju, they impart wisdom, advice or a wish for the couple’s future.”
Finally, the honorees will throw dates (symbolizing girls) and chestnuts (symbolizing boys) which the bride and groom will try to catch in the bride’s skirt. According to legend, the number of dates and chestnuts caught signifies how many children she will bear.”
In their case, they will be having 11 kids. Six boys and five girls. It seems Lori and Eugene’s parents have good aim! …the next morning 🙂 I loved these bridesmaids. It helps, of course, that I photographed two of their weddings 😀 BOOOOOM!…meanwhile…Have I mentioned lately that I love men in tuxes?! It’s a wedding photographer’s perk. 😉This is usually my very favorite part. FINALLY! Husband and wife! 😀Lori + Eugene + their TWENTY member wedding party! Favorite ❗…all eleven of your future children are guaranteed to have perfect smiles. IU!
…the first dance comes in a VERY close second as my favorite part of the day. 😀Hanover’s Phi Mu Sorority. “Bye bye miss american pie….”Though Clayton was skeptical… Eugene knew EVERY word to this song. $10 iTunes gift card if you can name the tune. If you were there, you’re exempt, duh. 😀 (By the way, the answer isn’t “American Pie”). ::UPDATE:: Stacy M. got it right. “Friends in Low Places” –Garth Brooks. 😀By the way… remember my mentioning of Clayton Anderson in Rachael and Patrick’s blog entry? Well, he’s Lori’s brother and rocked this wedding, too 😀 The difference? This time he did it wearing a pink vest 😉
Here are Eugene and Lori’s families singing the last song. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day. 😀 Mike’s view. And mine 😀

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
lori: The cake cutting. That song encompasses the two of us and how we feel about each other.
eugene: The first dance… It was the first time we just had time to ourselves.
What was your favorite detail?
lori: My aisle runner and my card box and my groom.
eugene: Having a childhood dream come true and having THE greatest minister Reginald K. Lisemby marry us.
Any advice for future bride/grooms?
lori: Stay focused on what’s important… Your marriage… Don’t sweat the details.
eugene: Be cool…. It always works out… And at the end of the day you get prettiest bride.,.. Well second prettiest… I got the prettiest 🙂
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
lori: When I tried to kiss Eugene in the middle of the ceremony.
eugene: Ditto… I kept telling myself I couldn’t kiss her too early and she came in for one and it was hilarious.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
lori: Nothing but the weather.
eugene: Ditto… Warm day, but can I tell you how awesome our photographers were in keeping us cool. By the way… They are Bobbi and Mike!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Couples Swept Away – Negril, Jamaica
lori+eugene+bobbi+mike. Now THOSE are some big smiles! Three Bobbi brides + an honorary 😀 megan+megan+bobbitown+lori+linville
Oh, did you not see that? Let me zoom in… 😀 Mike busted it MAJORLY on the band’s speakers while walking backwards. Clayton, without skipping a beat, helped him up. Later that night Mike told me about how badly his butt was bruised after falling. Uhm.. what?! I went back and reviewed the photos and there it was… I captured it and didn’t even know it! 😀
❗ + ❓
Love! The colors in the Korean ceremony are awesome. Sorry you fell Mike, but Hahaha, so funny you got caught!
Lovely photos, of course! But Bobbi, I had to comment on that cute yellow top with the vest!! I am in LOVE!
Beautiful!! The Korean ceremony photos are gorgeous – the colors are my fav. The flower petals along the aisle runner were so pretty! This looks like a fun wedding! 🙂
PS: Bobbi, love your outfit!
We didn’t start the fire????!!! First song I could think of with a billion lyrics.
And I really love the traditional Korean ceremony, how special. Also loved the hot pink!!
LOVE the photos! What a fun group!!!
And that song is American Pie by Don McLean….one my favorite songs EVER! like eugene, i also know every word 🙂
Wait, did you mean American Pie by Don McLean? ok, i’m cutting myself off from the comments. sorry!
I am going to guess ‘Baby Got Back’ ??? Looks like such a fun wedding!! 🙂
Amazing people, amazing wedding, amazing photographers. Is it bad I’m sad however that the last of my crew got married. No more bobbi+mike weddings 🙁 Love every picture, expecially the past, present, and honorary bride one!
Pure gorgeousness!!!! My guess on the song is Ice, Ice Baby! 🙂
Aw! Hope Mike is okay! Hopefully bruises are healed by now. Oh and fantastic crazy-amazing photos as per usual, you two!
I love these images. You guys always capture the happiest couples having the most fun! And the bright candy colors match that sentiment perfectly.
The Korean Ceremony…the colors, the light, the laughter. Perfect!!! And hope Mike is ok…but look at him holding that camera up high, way to take one on the rear but keep the camera safe. 🙂
Love the shot of the guys on the football field! You guys rock the creativity!
hhehehe.. how cute are they!! Sorry about your toosh Mike. =) I’m glad I’m not the only one tripping on stuff.
Hope Mike’s booty is OK! Happens to the best of us (more than I care to admit!)
Was the groom singing Bust a Move or Whomp There It Is? We’ve had both of those in the last year or so. 🙂
Hey Bobbi, why is your shirt white in one pic and yellow in the others??
Oh, I really like that first dance photo. Gorgeous.
And poor Mike! I see he did a great job of saving the camera at the expense of his rump. 😉
It’s Raining Men by the Weather Girls? 🙂
Looks like a great time!!!
Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks?
Stacy, you got it! “Friends in Low Places” -Garth Brooks 😀
And Kim, because I was a hot and sweaty mess so I changed shirts at dinner. (we almost always do… but you usually can’t tell because they’re the exact same shirts).
Beautiful as always! Is the song “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus? Im always shocked when boys know that word for word 🙂
Loved this day and love these photographs. It was so wonderful to relive one of the BEST weddings I have ever been to! Oh and Megan, while your crew may be all married up…there is one Phi Mu I can think of that may need the services of Bobbi + Mike someday 😉
Lori, you look absolutely beautiful! I am so glad I was able to see all the beautiful pictures!

Oh Bobbi…. I LOVE men in tuxes too! They always look so dashing! Gorgeous photos, although I would expect nothing less!
Love the moments you captured with this wedding! Beautiful colors. May I ask which lens you used, particularly when photographing the wedding party of 20? I am photographing a family of 19 in a couple of weeks. Just wondering what your suggestions were and which lens you used. Keep up the amazingness!!
Oh how i love every one of these pictures! You two are amazing as usual and every image captured why we love our Lor much. While we don’t have anymore weddings, there are always maternity pictures 🙂 Love you both!
Gorgeous photos! I HAD to laugh at the end one, sorry Mike, but I pictured myself doing the exact same thing. (falling not capturing the fall. lol) Love the vibrancy of the images 🙂

Um, seriously loved this wedding and LOL at poor Mike. Oh Bobbi, you are too much, but like Timex, he “took a licking and kept on ticking” 🙂 You two rock…..!!!!!!
