OHHHHH MAN OH MANNNNNN I’ve been SO excited to blog this wedding π I freaking ADORE Jayne and Dac! You see, Jayne’s family holds a special little spot in my world. Two and a half years ago we photographed Jayne’s sisters wedding (katie+henry | may, 2008)… and I knew, just KNEW that when Jayne got engaged, that we’d be her photographers. π Overly confident? Maybe… but, it seems my confidence is clearly justified. π
Without further ado… “fun with dac and jayne” π
another LilaFrances hanger!
When I showed up and saw THIS dress, my heart skipped a beat… that bow?! PERFECTION! These are my favorite kinds of dresses… simple, a-line, flirty, silk taffeta/faille with just one perfect detail that makes it unique… in this case… THE BOW!!!!!
Jayne and Dac had a lock and key themed wedding… it was incorporated into every detail… and it couldn’t have been more awesome. Here are Dac’s cuff links π
Wow, I’ve gone a little “morning of” details crazy on this blog entry! Can you blame me?!Β By the way, to our couples… I’m the one who usually photographs the rings, annnnd, I usually try and do it while the girls are getting ready… so if it’s possible, please have the rings with the bride on the morning of your wedding π Please and thank you! π
When I heard that the wedding colors were going to be orange and ORANGE… I about DIED! Okay, I’m being dramatic again… but does it GET anymore BBMK than this?!!?! NO! I’m in LOVE! I’ve seen orange weddings in bridal magazines before, but none of them compare… this orange was done PERFECTLY!
And these bridesmaid dresses??? FAVORITE EVERRRRR! A small confession: I, as a woman with large …ahem… coconuts, breathe a sigh of relief when I see non-strapless dresses done well (which isn’t common) π For those that don’t have this problem, strapless dresses are nearly impossible for us to wear. Finding the undergarments ALONE is an impossible task… let alone trying to keep the thing up all night! Lula Kate, HIGH FREAKIN’ FIVES TO YOU!!!!
Hello wedding guest π
See the keys on the program?
THAT VEIL?!!?!? I AM IN LOOOOOVE!!!!!!! Whoever put thing on your head OH SO perfectly deserves hugs, high fives and chocolate chip cookies (with really cold milk)… but then again… maybe justΒ MAYBE that person is on the healthy train and shouldn’t be eating cookies… however, hugs and high fives are still warranted. π Just sayin’.
Mike’s view.
Mine. π
How could we resist a TRAIN OF LOVE?! We couldn’t. Impossible. π
So what do you do when your planned photo spot is in the midst of Oktoberfest? YOU WORK IT OUT!!!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!! My favorite β
Another FBB (fearless bobbi bride). π And, like always, no dresses were harmed in the making of this image.
WACKY BOBBI STRIKES AGAIN!!!!! Thanks for being good sports π
Dac is one of the nicest guys we’ve ever met. I watched him have a full conversation with someone on the catering staff… as though she was the most important person there… he did this with every person he talked with that day, including us. Now, I’m not saying that the catering staff is unimportant, but, it was during cocktail hour… you know… when all of your friends and family are vying for your attention. I guess what I’m trying to say is, in the short time I spent with Dac, I think he’s the type of guy who would treat the President of the United States the same as the clerk at the BMV (or DMV) office. I can’t think of many others who fit into that category. I can think of two… Dac and Mike. :D
Jayne’s pride and joy… the place card door. So damn cool.
Huge tent receptions are my favorite π
The family. π
The day after Jayne and Dac’s wedding… I told Mike, “You know, families like Jayne and Katie’s make me want to have a family of our own.” Yeah, that’s kind of a big deal. π
As expected, the party didn’t disappoint! π

jayne+dac
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
jayne: Right before I walked down the aisle. It was a very special moment with my bridesmaids, my sister, my dad, and also my mom. Somebody grabbed her and she came back and we got to have a Β moment together. That meant a lot to me because I got to walk down the aisle with my dad, but I really wanted to be able to share that with my mom too. She and I had so much fun wedding planning together!Β
dac: Seeing Jayne come through the doors at the front of the church with her veil on.
What was your favorite detail?
jayne: This is a super tough one. I LOVED picking out the details. I’d probably say our favors. We hand stamped white Fossil tins. It was a really special thing for Dac and I to do together, since we both work at Fossil and met there. Close second would be the escort cards!Β
dac: My key and lock cuff links.
Any advice for future bride/grooms?
jayne: Think twice about using small confetti… we used biodegradable confetti for our church exit, and Bobbi spent quite a bit of time picking it all out of my hair before pictures! It was fun while it was happening though. πΒ (Jayne, in my OH SO humble opinion, totally worth the small annoyance… the photos with it are freaking awwwwesome!)
dac: If you get married during football season schedule the wedding on a bye week for your particular team, otherwise you’ll have a lot of people looking at their phones all day.
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
jayne: When the priest was asking Dac to repeat after him and the priest mistakenly said “take Jayne to be my lawful wedded husband… er, lawful wedded wife” and Dac jokingly repeated him word for word, just as he was told. He now has a husband AND a wife…Β
dac: Calling out bridesmaids during the ceremony for sitting down before I did (they were supposed to wait to sit until I sat).
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
jayne: I forgot to do something borrowed and something old… Whoops! But, I didn’t even realize it until the next day, so clearly the day was still completely perfect without them.
What was your favorite wedding purchase?
jayne: I have to go with the obvious one – my dress. It was special because my mom was with me, and it was the very first dress I tried on! It was just totally ME. The back was my favorite. π
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Secrets Maroma Beach in Cancun… it was AMAZING! We ha
d so much fun just hanging out together and frolicking on the beach… and eating as much free food as possible. π
Β
I know this photo with the bride and groom is our tradition… but it shows how much of a hot mess Mike and I are at the end of the day! So please, judgment free zone, k? k. π
meeeee with my briiiiiides! oh HELL yes!!!! π π π I miss you two already…
Β
Much love friends!

PS. I’m no longer going to list “our favorite moments” in the blog entries as I feel like I share enough of them throughout the post. π
Β
Testing the light for family portraits.Β See that hair above my ears that’s sticking out? Mike calls them my “bozos.”Β I call them “wings.” Whatever they are… they’ve been there my entire life and won’t ever grow. Now you see why I’m always wearing clips on the side of my head… because if not contained, they’re kind of intense… I really do, in fact, look like Bozo. π
Me, in action, at Oktoberfest π
I wanted her to put the veil back on for photos… but ran out of time at the church. So, I brought it with us. What do you do when you’re a wedding photographer whose hands are full and you don’t want to wrinkle the perfectly shaped veil? You put it on your own head. I honestly forgot I was wearing it until I saw these photos. Sorry I’m so pretty. Oh, and yes… your eyes are not deceiving you… I sat in the mud π OHHH the things we do for our clients. π Totally worth it though. If I hadn’t, the amazingness that was the “train of love” photo wouldn’t have happened. See?! Worth it. π
DBJ… don’t be jealous. (That was for you Katie π )

I so have the same deal with the hair just above my ears! why the heck wont it ever grow?! i just dont get it… anyways; great shots, always an inspiration. xx
there’s something very warm and happy about this couple. you captured them perfectly!
Damn – that’s some pimp wedding attire, Mike. Amazing, as always. I’m so out of shit to say on your blog because it’s always so goddamned good. I’ll tell you though – the place card door is pure genius – big ups to the bride on that one. Looks like a really great couple and they have some SICK photos to show for it π
damn – so glad I didn’t type “first” like a huge douche – there were no comments and then I was the third. I have to be faster.
I am a huge stalker, uh, fan of you guys! I LOVE your photos… always knock my socks off. AND I always notice that pendant you wear… I love it! π
Love the ‘Train of Love’ photo. Definitely worth the mud!!!
This is the perfect definition of a Bobbi and Mike wedding. When you two are on, you are SOOOOO on and you are most definitely on here. Love every single image, from the fantastic details to all those beautiful candid moments you caught to the fantastic B&G portraits.
I feel a bit like Wayne here with Alice Cooper. Remember that awesome “Wayne’s World” scene? π hehehe
What a fun wedding! Love love love the confetti pics, the first dance pic and the “have a heart” pic! Actually, I love them all!
Bozos! I have them too. I never knew what to call them, and now I do. Thank you for that. And thank you for also bringing the awesome to this wedding. What a great post.
Also, was the reception in an outdoor tent? Love the draped ceiling with the chandeliers!
Yes… I should have said… because tent receptions are my fave π
#1) WOW – love these…as usual. I especially love all the orange and all your fantastic dance photos!! I would definitely put a huge collage of those in my house if it were my wedding.
#2) BOZOS!! I love it. I’m totally calling mine that from now on (I always said wings too…but it’s bozos from now on)
#3) My husband’s name is Dac too…NEVER heard that name before anywhere else!
#4) You’re looking so good! Way to go!
#5) Mind sharing what shoes you wear for shooting weddings? I’m STILL on the hunt, for the PERFECT pair.
Alisha… sure! π http://clarks.zappos.com/n/p/dp/30405091/c/492.html and I SWEAR by them… I’m on my 3rd pair… I buy a new pair every year π
They look really happy. I mean most people do on their wedding day, but they look contagious. Awesome details. That is one on-brand wedding.
RYAN!!!! YES!!!!! Totally on brand! π HAHAHAHA!!!!!
Perfection. Send those suckers to Style Me Pretty and Martha Stewart. Man “Texas Dark Eyes” is looking g-o-o-d!!! Bobbi- you rock!
Awesome as usual y’all – and Bobbi – huge props! Sitting in the mud for a photo op and then posting the photo to prove it – you go girl!
Okay, girl, CONFESS! I’m needing cool wedding clothes like you always wear. A jacket just looks so professional, but HELP! The ones I find are very constricting. Where do you shop for your wedding clothes?
Great job as usual!
Love always,
Kristin
My gawd, you just keep getting better and better! Love everything about this wedding and everything you did with it!
LOVE! of course…because I LOVE everything you guys do!!! That hanger is the coolest thing ever π
i think this is one of fav’s ever from you guys! just love it!
goooooooorgeous. always gorgeous!
YAAAAY! I KNEW these photos were going to be amazing! Katie and Jayne both know how to throw a party!
Can’t even pick out a favorite photo this time around. Love ’em!
And Bobbi – there’s no camera tricks going on in those last few photos! You look GREAT!
Mike – keep rocking the vest and tie. It’s awesome.
Ooooh what a gorgeous wedding! And in my town too! <3 Looove the key theme (and that door!!!)
Beautiful as always. I love the one of the wedding guest watching you guys as the bride walked down the aisle. Ha.
Well…obviously I’m in love! These are PERFECTO in every way – and you (of course) captured Jayne+Dac to a tee! Currently crying a little bit at my desk feeling the love in the photos. And Bobbi, what a nice thing to say about our family! They are pretty amazing. You and Mike are part of ours too, ok? We’re so lucky that that’s true! Love the FBB and DBJ π You guys are the BEST! xoxo.
I’ve been anxiously awaiting Jayne and Dac’s photos (like a creepy stalker!!) My cousin was a bridesmaid and I’ve known Jayne for a long time…and of course you didn’t disappoint!! Wonderful job, I love them all!!!
love this post! i have “wings” too! drives me nuts! they always seem to pop out from behind my ears about 2 hours after I “fix” my hair.
Hahaha… I love everything about this post. All the yummy photographs, heart felt tid-bits, and bozos. You crack me up girl. But I think every girl has bozos. My sister and I have a gesture we do to let each other know we need to get the ‘fly aways’ in check. Basically do an ‘air grab’ for the ‘invisible’ strands from the side of your head (cause if I’m the one telling her to fix her dang hair, I have to pretend mine is just as crazy) and then act like I’m tucking them back behind ears. When we do this the other knows IMMEDIATELY to adjust the bozos!!!
Bobbi, you look absolutely AMAZING!! The healthy train is really paying off. Sometimes I think it makes all the difference to hear words of encouragement from a perfect stranger…so way to go girl, keep up the hard work!
I must have looked through these at least 50 times today… probably more. Of course I wanted to have you guys as our photographers after Katie and Henry’s wedding. That was the only way we would end up with photos as AMAZING as these!!
1. Bobbi I owe you milk and cookies (with very cold milk) for that veil for sure. You came to my rescue there. In many other ways as well. You were the BEST!
2. The orange DID turn out perfectly – I’m so glad you were in love with it as much as I was and am!
3. Like Katie said.. very nice what you said about our fam – we are so super lucky!
4. I’m so lucky to have found Dac, aren’t I?! We snagged some good ones, who like talking to people. π
What a happy day it was, and I will love reliving it over and over again with your photos. Hooray!!
PS Dac loves them too!!
I really like the picture of the old man. I want one of my father like this on my wedding day, please. Also this is such a wonderful wedding. I smiled through the whole blog, in the library.
Gorgeous as always. What beautiful details the bride put together and that you guys captured! Had to comment on the wings, I have those two and I hate them! I am jealous of all the people who can wear cute ponytails, I cannot because of all the stuff that sticks out from the sides of my head. And not being able to wear a ponytail is a pain when you are a photographer.
Thanks so much!! =)
Bobbi! What you do is simply amazing!! If I am ever even remotely as good as you are I will consider myself blessed!
Bobbi – I totally get the “wings” too. Must be a redhead thing! I am always wearing clips too, or those rubberband headband things. Those work great at containing not just the “wings” but the other flyaways that I get.
There are so many great things about these shots that I don’t even know where to begin. As far as weddings go though, I absolutely adore the orange, those hangers are fabulous and I love that she had green shoes so awesome. Good no great job Bobbi and Mike!! π
you guys are SO awesome π there is my little ‘rockstar’ gush and i will go hide over in OZ again π
I’m loving the detail shots. And, that orange. Oh my that orange is PERFECT!
Absolutely love ‘mike’s fav’. Awesome shot. π
LOOOONG overdue…. I cannot begin to thank you enough for being the photo-team that I would be if I only could. This is our second celebration with you. Of all I hold dear in life, these are two of my dearest. My precious, precious girls. Thank you again and again for capturing each moment for us to live over and over. Who can get enough? Even if you will never meet these two people, you know they love each other, they love family and friends, and this is how the world could be right. Should be right. I am referencing not only the blog, but the FABULOUS slideshow as well. bobbiandmike.com/slideshows/mccabe. Please visit it often and see for yourselves the magic of this medium. It takes my breath away. When Bobbi and Mike lived the fantasy that was Katie and Henry with us (May 17th, 2008), I really didn’t know that photography had come so far. Now you have captured Jayne + Dac as well. Ain’t love grand? I am truly humbled and appreciative beyond words. I’m sorry that I haven’t really let you know how very much your talent means to me, and how I will cherish each frame, forever. Please know that when we meet again (someone’s senior picture, perhaps?), there will be many hugs and much joy. Until then, Proud and Ever-So- Grateful, Rhonda…MOBsquared
This is your BEST wedding shoot to date. Seriously… stunning, stunning, stunning all around!! This belongs in a wedding magazine, for sure.
I always love reading your commentary throughout your posts. You two are so awesome and absolutely beautiful images as always!
Wow – thank you so much for posting these GORGEOUS pictures. Dac and Jayne were one of my favorite couples to work with… the orange is killer! Fab work and huge congratulations to the happily wedded couple!
