This photo was taken in August 1999… my freshman year of college at Indiana State University.  I was a Sparkette… AKA the color guard/dance team.  I mentioned that I was a part of the team a long time ago on this blog and my friend THE PHENOMENAL KATE MARTIN about had an attack… "I WANNA SEE A PHOTO OF THAT!" So, this is just for you Miss Kate πŸ™‚

I would also like to take this opportunity to say… HOLY COWABUNGA TO HOW THIN I AM IN THAT PHOTO?!?!!?? JEEEEEZE LOUISE!!! I wanna be thin like THAT again!  My smile looks HUGE when my cheeks aren't so chubby. πŸ˜€  I so so so so so so want to look like that. 

Okay, I'm going to bust out how much weight I've gained since then… and I canNOT believe I'm posting about it publicly… this is REALLY hard.. REALLY REEEEEEALLY hard. πŸ™  Okay, so before I dieted last year I had gained a total of 58 pounds since then.  I lost 13 of that back then so now I'm still up 45 pounds.  FORTY-FIVE POUNDS!

I kinda slowed down the weight loss… aka, quit dietting πŸ™  I've done fairly well at maintaining that but NOW IS THE TIME TO GET BACK ON THE HEALTHY TRAAAAIN!!!!!!!  Anyone out there want to diet with me?  Please?  PLEEEEEASE!?

Once I lose more than 13 lbs… I'll do a new photo like the one you see above πŸ˜€  Hey… it's the small stuff that gets me excited/movitated πŸ˜€  I always LOVED coming up with what I was going to take a photo of every Friday to show my weight loss.  For those of you who have NO idea what I'm talking about… every Friday I would take a photo of something that weighed the same amount as the pounds I'd lost.  So, at my best I'd lost 3 5Ds, a 70-200, a 16-35 and a 24mm prime.  

This year… I'm going to do it exactly like we did it last year… anyone who wants to join me just let me know in the blog comments that you're in. πŸ˜€  Then every week we'll do a total weight loss of all of us combined.  I'll be keeping track of it all here in a spreadsheet… yes yes yes, I'm a nerd with spreadsheets. πŸ™‚ The more the merrier… I'd LOVE to have you all on my team. 

Here are my goals (losing about 1.5 lbs a week)…

by Thanksgiving: -10

by Christmas: – 16

WPPI in Vegas (mid Feb): -24

my birthday, June 14: -45 

I know I'll never be a skinny girl… I never have been… and never will be… but being "not chubby" will be exactly where I want to be.  Know what I mean?

I'm SOOOO excited and INCREDIBLY motivated to get this done.  I'm also quite nervous.  Doing this publicly is quite humbling and embarrassing.  I don't want to fail in front of all of you.  I'm just a girl with insecurities, and I know I'm not alone.  I don't want to live the rest of my life paranoid about the size of my butt. 

Who's with me?!  DO IT!!!!!! I'll be reporting my first weight loss this Friday… AHHH I'M SOOO NERVOUS!

PPS… I know I know… I haven't been blogging as much as usual this month.   it's not because we don't have anything to blog WITH it's because we're shooting a lot and just don't have a chance to sit down at our computers to edit them. so yes, πŸ™‚ lots of new stuff coming soooon!
