I love shooting in people’s homes; it’s my favorite place to photograph a family! This one was taken in their dining room, we just moved their table into the kitchen. Easy peasy!

How they met, as told by Merissa

Met in high school (2003). Went to different high schools but met through a youth ministry called Young Life. Didn’t start dating until after sophomore year of college. Dated long distance (Villanova & Vanderbilt) through college, moved back to Maryland and got married in 2009.

Your perfect Saturday

Perfect Saturday is a quiet morning for Mommy while Daddy and Kayla go to “the donut maker” (MaryLou’s in Lafayette). We do a fun activity in the late morning or have fun plans for lunch then Mommy and Daddy get some relaxation time while the kids have afternoon nap/quiet time. The day ends with a quality dinner and a family movie night with a killer dessert. And of course since we are in “fantasy” world right now, our perfect Saturday would end with tired kids and a smooth bedtime (but who are we kidding).
